We are now trying out a team of hawkers, selling bottles only, it has potential, is being done to relieve pressure from the bars, but at £3.10 it is not very convincing, and i was thinking along the lines of a promotion offer, a happy hour, say 2 bottles for a fiver and if you have bambinos then a bottle and coke for 4 quid, being from hawkers only...

Opinions please

Would be canny if not for ridiculous prices. Nee way am I going to pay £3.10 for a plastic bottle of Magners the size of a can of coke

I know what you mean Marko, £3.10 for what is really only a half, Quinny would like to get fans in early, i dont know if the club have a say on prices, as we do not work for SAFC, so i am guessing the Public Catering Manager sets the prices for Lindley Catering, if the club could get together with public catering to look at ways to get more punters buying drink in the ground, i am sure a deal could be done through promotions, like I have already said 2 bottles for a fiver before 2:30 or 1 bottle Fosters/Bulmers and Coke 4 quid, or set up a couple of alcohol only express bars selling nothing but draught and pop at 6 quid for 2 pints and a fiver for a pint and bottle of coke...

People think matchday prices is bad, we were charging between £3.50 and £4 for a pint and and £13 for wine that did not look to be more than half a pint, that is a rip off as well.

If SAFC and Lindley can sort it, then the Hawking will work if it is promoted properly and linked to some kind of promotion as i stated before
