Aye me too, but I also feel he was naive last summer.
I agree with that...but I think Dick has more say and a decent relationship with him. Sadly our chairman doesn't give two fucks

Think Short needs to demote/move Byrne sideways and bring in another football person. Congerton reports to Byrne and Short, and for some reason, the managers demands and the fans expectations haven't dawned on the people in power. If Bridcutt won't move cause he's on a good wedge, bully him out, don't care how they do it or what it takes, get players like him, Larsson, Catts, Buckley out.
Alternatively Short just puts his master FFP plan on the back burn and absorbs the financial issues for one season, get us back on an even keel in terms of quality.
I hope to god we play some more of the youngsters, if they show as much fight and heart as Watmore then we'll be fine.
Agree - Short has put in the money - 8th highest wage bill in Premier - and over the last few years one of the biggest spenders - however, it has been money spent unwisely - eg, Rodwell, Kaboul (described as wretched in the Guardian today), etcetera.
Otherwise I completely agree with Gipetto. This year really threatens to be the end.
It's taken you long enough to see senseI'll hold my hands up and say agree with what the lads have said here after being a detractor. The only issue is, say get rid of Short, who's going to come in?
It'll be interesting to see how Advocaat plays it from now on...he's been very professional in the way he's conducted himself thus far, being subtle rather than being gung ho like Di Canio and Poyet were, but its coming to crunch time, and he really doesn't need to be here. He has nothing to prove with this job really, and perhaps its time he told it like he sees it.I agree with that...but I think Dick has more say and a decent relationship with him. Good on ya mate for having the balls to say it, I understand people dont want to slag the club off..however i look at it this way, it our club not fuckin Ellis shorts or maggie Byrnes..the'll go we'll stay.. We cant and shouldn't accept shit diplays like this on or off the pitch..its time we let them know we've had enoughI'll hold my hands up and say agree with what the lads have said here after being a detractor. I know it's not cool to, but I feel for Congerton. He has been brought in to simply deflect any blame from the owner. His remit is unworkable.

Ere I haven't totally turned to the dark side but f***ing pissed off with that today mind, rinse and repeat from last season. Likes of Cattermole, who I have defended simply aren't good enough. Needs either short to through big money at it or we are fucked. It's taken you long enough to see sense
It's only simple logic marra, something those in the boardroom don't poses!Good post.
Walk away it's hard but walk awayThe board are silent. No plans, no idea.
The whole club needs sorting out from top to bottom. Absolute farce that a billionaire would preside over such a complete and utter shambles. The core is quite clearly Ellis Short and the board.
They are the ones calling the shots, making the appointments and handling the finances. They are to blame.
2 bloody weeks until the transfer window closes. Pre season was awful (even though some on here believed it made no difference). The signings have been shit (again many on here believed they were decent). It's about time people woke up, I think today's performance will push most over the edge.
We are in dire straits. Quality signings should have been brought in long before now. It's not good enough and they are failing us, the fans yet again.
Short out. Find another buyer and sack the board.
I can't remember a time that the board have spoken about things recently. Oh wait, the last time was Mags post MON, think she said something like "Selling our/your best players is a relegation model, and that's not the clubs model" look how that went! The board are silent. No plans, no idea.
Why 75% shares?I tried to buy the club with every pay check when eight month's before Drumville bought us....made it up to 600 shares made a few bob too......I was trying for the 75% shares but never got there sorry lads I tried to buy us...LOL
Who is going to buy this circus of a club?
