Grigg did alright for us. Not brilliant but alright. He wasnt a regular starter but contributed. Out for 8 weeks or more now with a hamstring problem and we will miss him.And that’s with the handicap of having Grigg.

This time last year he was saying they were revolutionary and will be fighting for Premier League promotion so I wouldn’t worry about what he has to say! He used to come on to our forum whenever LJ lost.

spot on....After watching Rotherham against Sheffield Wednesday. Rotherham are everything we aren’t… bigger, stronger, faster, more physical, braver and definitely more suited to get out of this league.
This is the template/ tactics/ style of play required to get promoted.
Admittedly not pretty but very effective at this level. We will remain in League One until the philosophy changes for the short term.
Playing out from the back is for the likes of Man City etc, our personnel are just not up to it.
Sounds like a description of us in the 1987/88 season.Rotherham far from their best today, yet light years ahead of us. A robust team that know how to win ugly, close out games and make the most of set pieces. Good manager with a touch of class about him too.
Give up man, have you seen the state of league one ?. I know we’ve had the stuffing knocked out of us, by the last two head coaches, and the boards insistence of changing a winning formula, to try and increase the value of our squad in the long term. But come on nowhere near promotionSqueaky is a little prick, though, to be fair. Giggling his way through record losing runs, and chuckling as Sunderland get destroyed in the third division.
I totally get why anyone who had to put up with him, would take huge enjoyment in his failures.
As for the other point: we'll be absolutely nowhere near promotion next season. If we stay up, I'll be happy. Our slide genuinely feels as catastrophic as that.
Have you given up already. A bizarre post if trueWe’ll show you how to get out of this league next season, playing attacking, hardworking, pressing, passing football.
having some leaders on the pitch. It's not rocket science.

Rotherham will have been promoted twice in the time we have stunk out this division.1. I was told a million times to stop being a bedwetter and Rotherham would never win a game ever again, drop down the league and hand us the title.
2. Add Rotherham to the embarrassing list of promoted clubs during the last 4 years of failure.

The worst one was Patterson to Cirkin up to Neil, back to Cirkin, back to Patterson. We need to go back to basics urgently. Big strong thug players. I’m absolutely sick of the playing it out from the back shite we are being forced to endure, yesterday was keepers ball to Cirkin, Cirkin gives it away.
But you expect to show us how its done getting out of division 3. Surely if you gave up in November the confidence you have in getting out of this league isn't backed up with your acceptance of relegation despite being only 2 wins from potential safety with 16 games left.Gave up in November pal. I’ve been watching us 36 years, I know what the crack is, as @Bristol City says this time last season I said we’d be challenging for promotion to the premier league, we finished 5th and didn’t do too shabby in the play offs, I know my onions.
Even selling the players we have to, the likes of Hondamark, Palmer, Marsh, Wolfe, Walton, Moon, Kitchen and so on will be more than good enough at this level, it’s amazing how many Barnsley fans over estimate the standard Of league one. We'll see. I hope you're right, and I'm not.
I just think everyfůckingthing is getting sold this summer - when we last got relegated, we kept hold of the bulk of what was obviously a good squad. But, from the bits I read, there isn't anything like as much cash in the bank this time around.
Also, I doubt Poya is good enough to bring us back. Though, obviously, they might sack him when the season's over.
