Ross Stewart

This is total and Utter nonsense likr

He’s paid peanuts, he’s on virtually the same wage he was when he was signed from ross county in the third division

He’s 26 going on 27 and earned virtually no money from football.

Loyalty? How’s he been disloyal. Good example of how sensitive football fans are

The fact he's paid peanuts (relative to his performance) is precisely why I'd keep him.

With his current contract situation, we're unlikely to get more than a token fee really.

I'd like to see us milk him for another season on the relatively small wage he's on, rather than sell him for a couple of million now.

Even if he's not back until October, 7-8 months of Stewart playing on a couple of thousand a week is worth much more than us selling him now IMO.

I couldn’t agree with you more mate yeah

I'm sure Speakman will make a call which is in the best interests of the club. No point giving him away for nothing but there is bound to be an amount that we would accept rather than lose him for nothing.

I think a figure around 5m might be enough to get us talking. I don't think we are going to get 10m or whatever some people seem to expect.

It's dragged on too long now, it's obvious he isn't falling over himself to extend his deal. That's either us not offering a big enough bump or he simply wants a move. We can't go into the season with this hanging over us, he's either gonna be here and sign a new deal or he agrees to see out his deal while playing a big part in next season if he can stay fit, or we all agree it's best we part ways. It needs sorting one way or another pretty soon as it's dragged on way too long.

He's not actually injured. He'll be doing rehab so whether he could pass a medical depends on how rigorous said medical is. Given Speakman said he'd likely be fit for the middle or end of preseason it means he's probably 3 or 4 weeks away from playing so can't be that far off.
I thought Speakman pushed his return back to October at least?

Think it would be a bad move for him and he'd really struggle for goals in the premier league in that team, but I think he would go personally. They will have a season in the prem and will be able to offer him a massive wage increase on this current league one wage.
I honestly don’t see luton paying big wages in the Premier league and even then they will have clauses which will result in a massive drop if they go down. It’s a gamble yes but don’t see him getting many goals in a side that will get humped most weeks and his stock could be very low in 12 months time if he did go.
