Ross Stewart

Just based on the whispers here and there is seems like he will end up at Stoke. The snidey prick has obviously tapped him up.

Call me bitter but I can’t help hoping it goes badly for both of them if he does go there.
I'm the same. If he goes to a championship team it would benefit us if he was injured.

So I'd hope he's crippled again personally

I like the lad, so hope Palace or Luton or someone take a gamble on him and I can at least wish him no ill-will as he moves on.

If he goes to Stoke in particular I’ll be hoping it goes horribly.
People on here would rather pipe off ex players to appear 'classy'.

I don't want him to go but if his head has been turned and he won't sign a new deal then we need to get as much as we can for him.

Hes been badly advised imo, could have had months and months on improved terms and it would have safeguarded us to get a significant fee too.

Ks said he automatically got an improved deal after promotion. Maybe a couple of thousand more a week.

He was also offerd a new contract during his 1st injury. 2nd injury was a major one so we've left the offer on the table. It's been 6 months and he hasn't taken that offer.

He's not going to get offered a new one now, regardless of what hapens during the next 6 months because he will turn it down and SAFC know it, surely.

If he hadn’t got injured he would have signed a new contract by now he wants to stay club want him to stay package would have been came to terms by now give him few months to get fit then see if we can get the deal done again

Hoiw do you know the improved offer has been left on the table, or any of the rest of it? You don't, and you're trying to present supposition as fact.

Son in law the consultant surgeon (I know), says that the problem on coming back fron an injury like this, is not the injury itself, but what's going on in the head. I think there is no current oiffer to Stewart, why would the Club do that? Could be like Brian Clough, played a few games and realised he wouldn't ever be the same and retired. The Club would then be saddled with paying Stewart for 2, 3 years or whatever, and he wouldn't be insured because the injury pre-dated the new contract. This lot will definitely NOT be doing that.

I would imagine the situation is along the lines of, if another club wants to buy him this window at an agreed price, then off he goes, though I can't believe any club would be that stupid. Or, he proves himself to be back up to speed, amd we sort out a contract with him, or we don't.

I’d take £6m in a heartbeat if we’re not close to an agreement.

Crippled is probably a bit over the top.

Constant twisted ankles. That’ll do me.
Well aye I don't mean crippled as in never walks again:lol:

Just injured constantly
That a lad gets hurt . That’s what you are saying . Particularly a boy who works as hard he does .
I would definitely choose that if it was a direct rival for promotion.

There's always threads on here celebrating injuries before a big game if we have them the game next.

Sunderland first and foremost
