Agree.
He's immense . Will easily make the step up to the championship, and if we can keep hold of Hume to work on our left side, and provide the attacking threat for us, helping Ross immensely , we will be a good side
What? Denver Hume?

Sorry like, but you must actually be Denver Hume or a relative or a good friend. What a completely random 2nd player to pick for your ‘good’ side claim.
He was playing out wide for them

Brian McDermott had made Lee Johnson aware of him when the pair of them were going to move to a Championship club. Johnson came here instead, and must’ve been keeping an eye on Stewart’s development. There was a piece from Johnson in The Northern Echo to this effect earlier in the season. It didn’t name the Championship club Johnson was on the verge of joining
Never understood why they played him out wide, yes he’s got a decent turn of pace but his hold up play, movement and aerial ability makes it the obvious choice to play him up front.

The lad is everything you want from a striker, holds the ball up, pace, strength, eye for goal and never stops working. A big shout out to our recruitment team and LJ .Love him me.
What a player. There was a moment on the half way line where he held the ball up and kept possession with 4 players hunting him down. Was brilliant from the big man. He can even tackle as well.

I loved it when he made up ground, chased & harried their defender down our right in 2nd half. We got a corner, he made the twat go backwards for 30+ yards 😜

Unusually for a striker at this level he's got a bit of everything.... pace, control, decent in the air, scores goals and knows when to bring other people into the game. It's hard to find a weakness. I really rate him.

The only inconsistency I've noticed are his one touch lay offs, not glaring but he'd be some player if he worked on it. Worra snip.

RS has attributes that are not tonight these days, it’s natural and easy to him and refreshing. He will keep getting better, a joy to watch.

Playing centre forward for Ross County I’m guessing is how he was spotted
Was playing left wing
Read this a few times, and I'm struggling to decipher it.
Brian McDermott spotted him.
Brian McDermott was linked to Derby, working under Johnson
That move didn’t happen
Johnson moved to Sunderland
McDermott didn’t fancy it
Johnson signed Stewart

I was watching him yesterday and he is a very good footballer all over the park. He does his defending stint as well. Seems to have a good attitude and for me he is our best player!
