He’ll go at some point over the next couple of years.

That’s not a negative just realistic .

Stewart is an excellent example of the recruitment model working at SAFC.

If we get him tied down to a decent contract we’ll ensure a massive profit when he does eventually leave which will be reinvested in the squad.

Just bagged a Champions league campaign so don’t under estimate their financial power now, also his family are all in/around west coast Scotland so it’s a lucrative move

Yawn yawn

Shall i put the mobile numbers on here? You think that would be alright for you to get verification?
:) :) :)

What's that? Nowt in there contracts about being promoted like? Need new agents
That's a good point, you'd think most if not all got a rise on promotion. Now the window has closed it'll probably be looked at again, he's got two years though so while it needs addressing there is time.

No chance, the PL is a different world. He might get a game a Bournemouth.
Theres loads of shit players in the premier league. He’s quick for his size, can score goals with his head /feet. He works hard. A lower league premier league team may feel they can get him for 8/10 million which is cheap by premier league standards . Take forest for example. If they buy him and even if they go down they know they have someone who will get them goals in the championship.

I hardly ever come on RTG but recognise you straight away as the biggest c—t on here. A serial arguer and atagonist. A grade A pri-k
Well done to you
You are the one who started it with your sarcy response, have a look in the mirror, no need for you to look on here, haha, serial arguer :) :) what a dick! Rangers wont have enough money for him BTW, tell your exclusive source that :)

Quite possible he had a promotion rise in his contract, although even if it was a 50% uplift it would still be league one money. Less than people like Max Power was earning at the club, a fraction of what Aiden Mcgeady and Leadbitter were.

Even if the club makes Stewart our highest paid player they won't pay him more than the maximum our sustainable salary structure allows.
That could be well short of what a team like Watford could offer him, especially if they need him for a final push from January to gain promotion this season.
Still negotiating his contract since Spring doesn't sound good so selling him for a large profit in January could be the best long-term option.

We need to keep him or get a very good replacement
I think he is worth a lot more than the numbers people are mentioning
Goalscorers are worth their weight in gold

What a signing man. Plucked from obscurity for a few hundred grand too.

Could go down as one of the best signings in our history.
Imagine if we can get promoted this year and get him playing in the PL. I think he'd be dangerous at any level, but he's come on massively with us and I hope we can keep hold of him - a full season of Championship football will be perfect for his development.

If we rely on just using the 1 year extension that makes us just look like tits tbh, Stewart deserves more than just a years extension he should be given a raise and a substantial one at that, he's earned it.

I hope stewart isn’t planning on running it down and leaving on a bosman. Bit worried if negotiations have been going on so long but can’t agree. If we can’t agree probably makes sense to sell in jan and get a fee
The lad has every right to see his contract out. He will have earned peanuts from football and is halfway through his career. Why should he allow owners to make millions from him while he earns a small fraction of that?

His agent should tell Speakman Ross is having 50% of any transfer fee or there won’t be one.

i think he’ll sign a decent contract with a real ease clause, weve got to start making a profit on so called player trading, we have just got to trust in the scouting network, speakeasy bangs on about succession planning and this will apply to players as well. they will have a time when they expect him to go and for how much we just need to ensure he is replaced with similar young talent, no good having a 30 year old player you haven’t got a clue how to replace, it’s the way ahead.
I for one am pretty excited by how things are unfurling at safc.

HAWAY THE PROCESS AND UP THE DATA !!

How long does it take to agree a contract ffs. Since spring? Seems like somethings going wrong if it’s took that long without a resolution.
took me 10 months to agree contract with my current employer. It's a dance until everyone is happy
