Ross out of his depth imo

How are we not? We are regressing and winning our games in hand gets us nowhere near top now. Quite frankly we are not anywhere near comfortably second and if we keep regressing we’ll be cut off shortly
2 points from top if we win or games in hand.

Not if he sets up in the same way game after game.
We've set up the same for 29 games and done alright - it's only the last 3 or 4 where people are twisting about our tactics

One change, 09 for Power would make a massive difference to our play, I don't understand how someone so obviously switched on can't see it?
Been saying this for ages, 2 defensive midfielders when against poorer teams is never going to get us the 6-7 wins on the trot we need. Anyone remember what Peter Reid did?

When I listened to SD on the podcast he gave the impression he's not one to sack a Manager if they don't achieve their goals first season up. Bearing in mind the annual sacking race and continual merry go round of squads got us into this mess, I reckon Ross will get at least a season and a half and probably two before the axe falls, if he is unsuccessful..

Can’t remeber a time we played well for 90mins and felt comfortable ??? Jesus probs under peter Reid !!!! Agree this league is dire and the football is shocking but Luton amd Barmsly seem to be on it and we need to keep up with these 2 teams

Doesn’t know his best team. Always gonna be an issue. Has 6 cms he has to manage and he’s wants a 3 to at least suit half of them. Then he’s got 6 forwards that he’s not sure to play where to play. But January is only just over so Hopefully he’ll know after these 3 home games. Like people said earlier it clicked too early and so set higher expectations

I think many are a bit quick to assume a strong bond between SD and JR means he won't sack him.

SD came to Sunderland with a reputation for changing managers frequently at Eastleigh.

If we don't get promoted Ross will be gone in my opinion.

Aye, sack him if we don't go up, spend the summer looking for a manager, bring someone in, they then need time to assemble a squad of their own players , time to 'settle' , he starts next season inconsistent, people say he needs time, then by February people are calling for his head , and round and round we go. Are we ever going to just give a manager 2 seasons?? Fucks sake, everyone so impatient, now now now!! Yes we look shite at the moment, he needs questioning if power starts on Tuesday, but sacking? No way , haven't we learned anything?

If we don't go up this season from this division then he doesn't deserve to be here next season. There is no excuse to not get promoted this year

Couldn't agree more. As somebody on here said last night he'll be the first manager we've had in a long time who will have no excuse whatsoever if he's not a success here.
