Ross on the Red

I didn’t say he didn’t have problems

What I did say was, that I’ve watched and played football over the last 40 years and today’s incident could have been simply dealt with, with no cards.

Nobody was injured. There team over reacted and the ref let himself be influenced

I’ve seen worse things go on today elsewhere

Yes it could have, Its harsh no doubt, but that's not the issue here. The Issue is Max Power's decision making it needs addressing period. I watched a video of Max Power diving in on poor Duncan playing in a comeback game against team mates.....it was f***ing crazy. I like Max no doubt, he's a good player needs someone to give him a reality check though sooner rather than later, for the good of SAFC.

We differ, who cares, eventually though you will know I’m right ;)

It's extremely difficult to judge from that video as Honeyman is right in front of the contact and the camera is fairly far out.

It's very harsh imo to to be calling him an idiot and a psycho etc on that decision today. Also.. players are out there to challenge the opposition as much as they possibly can.. they aren't thermostats that can be turned down to 75% to avoid being sent off.

Powers a tit for having his studs up but i think he's been unlucky so far.
He's getting stuck in and would be getting stick for not putting an effort in.

We move on and hopefully keep the momentum going. Power's past disciplinary record goes against what we're seeing so hopefully thats the last red and we push on to win the title with him after new year.

The more I watch it the more and more I’m convinced the ref has robbed us.

Same. I was adamant it was a red at the time. Power looks as though he’s actually pulled out of the challenge. The Walsall player is a joke, he’s cowardly gone in two footed then blatantly play acted, the Walsall players have all then waded in which I thought was no longer allowed. Shocking.

Actually looks as he gets his foot down in the grass... not on to the player... looked much worse the first time.

Are you f***ing dumb? The Walsall player lunged in 2 footed and power did nothing. If anything the Walsall player should have got sent off. Ridiculous decision followed by numerous more after. The worst refereeing display ive ever seen.

No need for that likes, however wrong his opinion might seem to some folk

Power is a disgrace and shouldn’t be defended in this instance. Yet again he gives the referee a decision to make. That lad has lost us 4 points alone through his ill discipline. I though Ross would have actually done something about it before now. To think he’s defending the challenge is bizarre.
All about opinions, but I really disagree here. So is he not meant to tackle anyone again in case ref makes a bad decision? Very harsh red that today, I'm not even convinced it was a yellow, but probably one that could go either way on a booking. No way was it a red card. Turning into a none contact sport this. Ball was there to challenge for and aye mis timed, but that's it.

Just been a foul in the Barca game. Vidal slides out of control, catches the atletico player. No cards, no mass protests, free kick and get on with it

Exactly. When did two players competing for the ball mean an automatic red for the one who doesn't get theee first?

Exactly. Mis-timed by a split second.
He isn't out of control of his movement, he isn't off the ground, he isn't high and it isn't violent so how in God's name is that a straight red? It's two players copeting for the same ball, nothing more.
