Ross on the Red

It's very harsh imo to to be calling him an idiot and a psycho etc on that decision today. Also.. players are out there to challenge the opposition as much as they possibly can.. they aren't thermostats that can be turned down to 75% to avoid being sent off.

Maybe soft but it's red and will stand. Defending the players is obviously a manager's priority but we need quickly to understand that we need to stay on our feet if we want to keep 11 players on the pitch. The number of red cards and cards more generally is not acceptable and it's going to hurt us if we continue being so naive.

Our player did stay on his feet and he didn't raise his foot or stamp down either. The Walsall player however jumped in both feet off the ground and both feet flying in

It's pathetic to see how some are gannin on.

This, all day long.

The boy Power needs a good talking too. Jack Ross should be tearing strips off him, for one, the first touch and then for the wreckless dive in to remedy the situation. Not needed he'd lost the ball......stay on your feet and just front the ball up, its that simple.

Whether or not its resinded does not make a jot of difference, this lad needs to start thinking the game MORE than ever.

It was the same in that practice match with Forest playing a return game......diving in on the lad.....f***ing idiot.

What dive in?

Power didn't leave the ground, didn't go in high, didn't stamp, the Walsall player however.........

He simply didn't at all in the slightest, watch it again. The only player to dive in was the Walsall player with both feet off the ground as well

You just haven't played enough of the game to know the difference. Its quite obvious he's chasing the ball from his poor first touch. The lads got problems and it needs addressing.....to Max Power. Whether its considered a red or not by SAFC staff or supporters does not matter, 3 reds in what 6/8 games means there's a big problem.

I have and imo there was nowt wrong with the incident. Didn’t see the Walsall player being carried off, didn’t see anyone but a pack of Walsall players around the ref.

Very unlucky today power.

the gaffer needs to bray power, bring bally and a couple others in to help hold him down and bray him. it's the only way the lad'll learn imo mate

Its not about luck its about decision making. This lads is very very suspect, he should never have put himself in that position, the balls going away from him he's lost the ball.......front it up is the way to go not what he did. If you say you've played this game and you cannot see he's got problems with three reds in a handfull of games, sorry but I can't help you.

At the time it looked nailed on, but having seen it on a better quality bit of video I think it's harsh. Not convinced he actually makes contact with the kid, he seems to get his feet stuck in the turf
Be amazed if it's overturned like

I didn’t say he didn’t have problems

What I did say was, that I’ve watched and played football over the last 40 years and today’s incident could have been simply dealt with, with no cards.

Nobody was injured. There team over reacted and the ref let himself be influenced

I’ve seen worse things go on today elsewhere

At the time I sed 'red card'as soon as it happened. More for the fact that he was straight legged and lunging giving the ref a decision. Watching it back several times it lloks more like their lad who lunges in. He just happens to get to the ball first. It's milliseconds in it to then say who is out of control. If Power gets there first then there lad is sent off. Using that thought process you can then say well, there is no malicious intent from either and both are equally as wreckless, therefore no red and should have just been a free-kick to them. I can't see the panel looking at it that way, they will back the shitey ref up I am sure. Might as well try to appeal it - not sure you can put a viewpoint in with the appeal?

Chasing a miscontrolled ball is a million miles away from diving in which he didn't do in the slightest
