Mcgeady might not want to go to the states . He’s happy here , on good money , fans love him .

JK Rowling has fuck all on you. Are you enjoying the six weeks?
Comments in echo

“We may add two next week, I hope. Both in defensive areas just to give us that real strength in depth for the course of the season.”

Left back and Henneghan i reckon

Spanish lad at Barnsley is one name I’ve heard. Should cost half a mil. There’s another. I think there may be 3 on the list, if KVY hasn’t signed for Ipswich yet.

Was told anything else will be done when others move on (Loovens released a couple of hours later).

Still strong chance we could let Watmore have a free transfer, so we can bring another attacking midfield/forward in.

Was told they want full confirmation of investors before buying the left back, but SD willing to spill. Idea is not putting the club in debt for even one second I think. But obviously they can’t wait around for too long.

That would be ideal

And that was my original point. They're saying buying STILL depends on players leaving, yet loads of players, especially the high-earners, have already left. So what's the issue there now?

Of course we're not going to buy more players in positions we are already overstocked in, that's fair enough. But we need a LB, and having plenty extra wingers or whatever, doesn't change that!
This

Since last season SAFC have let the following players leave:-

Dunne, Morgan and Sterling (loanees returning to parent club), then SAFC contracted players James, Cattermole, Matthews, Ruiter, Stryjek, Molyneux, Love, Oviedo, Honeyman and Loovens have all left. That is a reduction of 13 players

During the same period, SAFC have acquired the services of McNulty on loan and offered contracts to C McLaughlin, Burge, Willis and Dobson, which is an addition of five players

Thus a net loss of eight players, of which four (Cattermole, Oviedo, Matthews and Love) would have been among the clubs highest earners.

Even the arrival of three more players (somewhat ambitiously suggested by Donald) would see the squad numbers having been reduced by five players, as per Ross’ stated preference for a smaller squad.
