The rest of our batting is fragile as fuck, but you need your best players to get them big scores.

Defending his decision to bowl is a debatable point too. Makes him look weak either way.

Don't know how much say he had in the batting order before he was captain but when he became skipper he should have bumped himself up to 3 straight away imo

Would have disagreed before the series but the batting has been awful so far. Bairstow wasted at 7 and Vince certainly isn't test quality despite his impressive start over here

Still there alongside Cook as about a million times better than any of the rest of them. Also don't buy into the stick he is getting as captain. Toss was a brave move but at least he is thinking about things. Very creative with a one dimensional attack when it doesnt swing. People are quick to stick the boot in but if he had a bit of luck and a couple went to fielders or catches stuck, he would be lauded as the new Brearley.

Agree Bairstow needs to be moved up the order. If they worry about the glovework then play Foakes. Surely he can bat 5 and keep though??
