He's kinda like Andy Murray. A top player who can win things more than once to prove it's not a one off fluke, be considered the #1 at times yet still seem significantly behind the absolute top players... Be was a good player, but he was no Messi or Ronaldo ..
Based on nothingBecause apart from being a decent player in his day, the bloke is a complete fkn moron.
Every club has hard working local support surely-is there anything special about Derby?Rooney could have achieved more and derby have hard working local support.. It that simple enough for you..
I regard him as being as one of the all time great English players (most outfield England caps, most goals for both Man Utd & England, despite not being an out & out striker, could & did play in a variety of positions). He won plenty of stuff with Man Utd but if he looked after himself better he could've continued at the top level a bit longer & won even more.Rooney should have done better in his playing career? He played for years at Man Utd. and won a stack of things.
Derby are a good working class supported club? What does that mean?
Why does he deserve a chance?Desurves a chance why not
That's an unbelievable record - I am not giving you a job here but I wonder how it compares to Ronaldo and Messi?Premier League - 5x

League Cup - 3x
England all time top goalscorer - 53
Manchester United all time top scorer - 253 (183 in the Premier League)

You're just a pup man. I remember Len Shackleton retiring !When players like Wayne Rooney are retiring, its making me think I'm no longer in my early 20s. I'm an old twat.
Its not fair to compare him against 2 of the best players of all time. Rooney was a top class player but those 2 lads are in a league of their own. That's an unbelievable record - I am not giving you a job here but I wonder how it compares to Ronaldo and Messi?
Go on you know you want to ...............................
Why did you not rate him?Never rated him as a player and he won’t last long as manager. Some salacious story about his private life will come out at some point and that’ll be the end of that:
