Rooney in the mirror talking about us

Sums up United really..

There were about 6 of their supporters sat behind us at the game, all giving it the big un and shouting their mouths off...singing Utd songs at the tops of their voices while we were being beaten. "Ah it's only banter lads, we aren't having a go at you".

Ah well, our laughter and the Poznan was only 'banter' n arl so get a grip you sad bastards.

No respect for us, none in return.

None of that counts. They are Man Utd.

What sort of accents did these lads have?

And were you in the North Stand? Perhaps that's who Jarvis saw ...

Yeah I was in the North Stand, very broad Mancunian accents, which they were happy to project very loudly.

In the end my mate politely told them to "shut the fuck up", then a few other people piped up and they were ejected. A few of our fans apologised to them on their way out and called us idiots though.

Fans of teams who have won major honours should be given MBEs and opposition supporters should bow their heads in reverance.

I've never hidden my admiration for Manchester United, their history and the way they have represented English football to the rest of the world so magnificantly over the years. They are a great football club and institution which deep down I think most genuine football fans in the is country would acknowledge, with the exception of their close rivals (of whom we are not one for those unaware).

That's not the main point though. While I was disappointed to see the season end the way it did - again I am not ashamed to say I've always preferred MUFC to win the league than any of Chelsea, Leeds, Liverpool, Newcastle and latterly City (just doesn't sit well), although I had no real preference when they battled it out with Arsenal - my point is and always has been, why would our supporters embarrass themselves by cheering and celebrating a goal going in elswhere that had fuck all to do with SAFC or our prospects on the pitch? It's an alien concept to me and not one I've ever seen happen before with the exception of Newcastle going down, but that I can understand - Hell, I even joined in. Because it was Newcastle. And we'd just stayed up.

Clearly most people understand this, but are incapable of putting together a counter argument - the arrogant, glory seeking line just doesn't wash with me as they've always had excellent and vocal away support, plus anyone who has success like they have had has a right to. Instead they decide to fire off abuse at the poster rather than the post which, in my book is almost as sad as the actions of some of our supporters Mr Rooney, Mr Ferguson and co have lamented.

Spot on fella.
The Sunderland fans embarassed themselves to the wider clued up football world.
Maybe the charvers & the thickos thought it was hilarious though.

didn't you have 3 Man Utd mates in the Sunderland end with you? Plus you also wanted United to win the league.
For the record, it didn't bother either way, because I have no affiliation to either, so i doubt the wider footballing world would have been too bothered about it either.

Fuck me. Let's just doff our caps and bow-down to our superiors?

People talk about football hooligans in the 70s and Man U pretty much had the worst of the lot.

When they lost to Man City and got relegated in the early 70s, their fans tried to get the game abandoned by going mental in the ground.

I'm sure there were strikes in various cities because train drivers etc refused to take their fans.

The club itself represent a lot of what has gone wrong in the game and it can be traced back to players like Best who thought getting pissed was more important than the game.

They have dominated the game now for nearly 20 years and they didn't like it when Man City came along and took the title.

As for Rooney, does anyone actually give a fuck what he has to say?

The only thing sad that day was the behaviour and lack of class shown by our supporters. Antics more associated with Stoke City or Bolton Wanderers. Make no mistake they won't even need a team talk when we go to Old Trafford this season, and it could get ugly.

Not this f***ing 'class' shite again, grovelling to the big club. This post is an insult to Sunderland supporters. They lost out on title no. 20 for fuck's sake, and lost it at the last minute when they thought they'd took it off their rivals, big f***ing deal, it's not like they got relegated like we have so many times.

Fuck the wider clued up football world up its wispy-haired arse.

Doubt it. Probably just mimicking those around them

I was in the north stand with me chums which included 3 Man U supporters, they knew the score, never made a peep unlike some of the idiots that were lauding it. They also had no problems with the banter that ensued after the final whistle. One is from Boro, One from Northumberland and one from Manchester. I asked them if they were bothered about the Sunland fans reaction to them losing the title. They replied that they were'nt and actually were pretty embarrassed by some of there own (referring to a couple that were escorted out and starting lauding it once they were heading down the stairs, causing carnage).

In conclusion. Stop being a precious wanker.

Genuine question about a hypothetical situation....... would you be still lambasting the reaction of the Sunderland fans if it had been aimed at city fans in the SOL who lost the league last minute to a Man Utd comeback somewhere else???

The fans were celebrating the league title, of course we were going to rip the piss out of them when it all went titsup.
