Rooney in the mirror talking about us

he's a f***ing fanny. Calls posters "precious wankers" about getting all arsey about the mag tracksuits, then the precious wanker comes out with that. Just goes to prove his whole life is about being controversial for the sake of it
He f***ing loves Man Utd man, doesn't he post on one of their forums?

Any club's fans would have done the same. The same way Villa took the piss when we went down.

What did they expect us to do?

Cry with them, feel sorry for them?

Would they have been any different if the roles were reversed? (unlikely I know..)

Could have done nothing or shown a bit of humility.
Clearly not many on here who were at Maine road when we went down in 91. City fans showed their class that day - many of them even wanted City to lose so we stayed up and Luton went down. I'll never forget it.

So we repaid the favour and celebrated their title victory. There you go

Had our fans been arrogant for years before that?

Man Utd fans give it out they have to be able to take it.

Fuck them.

i tried to get into the away end cos i wanted to give afew cuddles out but the stewards wouldnt let me so i was advised to return to my seat and laugh at the man u fans so i did but it was peer pressure i actually did feel real sad for them

Re: Rooney in the sun talking about us

They weren't, silly.

They were laughing at the manure fans [how many of them locals?] who were prematurely giving it the big one and celebrating winning the league/pipping city when they hadn't.

There were folk in the North stand jumping up and down, celebrating as if SAFC had won something or scored a last minute goal to win the derby. 100%fact. It was one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen at the match

Clearly people can remember that, thats why Citys title victory was celebrated

I dare say the poor souls sitting next to you would say your denim suit is more bizzarre.

To the tune of Barry Manilows "Mandy"...

"Oh Rooney,
don't blame us for losing the league,
cos ye through it away..
Oh Rooney..."

The only thing sad that day was the behaviour and lack of class shown by our supporters. Antics more associated with Stoke City or Bolton Wanderers. Make no mistake they won't even need a team talk when we go to Old Trafford this season, and it could get ugly.

Shite attempt that.

What's wrong with Stoke or Bolton fans anyway?

We got relegated at Old Trafford a few years back.

The Man Utd fans cheered and laughed at us.

What goes around comes around and if you can't take it, don't give it.

PS - If every other team (including Man Utd by the way), had done as well v City as we did, then City would now be playing in the Championship.

Fuck off:lol:

Clearly we haven't been in a position to challenge for honous in most people on here's lifetime so the only two comparisons (bitter disappointment in a one off game at an away ground) are the two big relegations (Man city and Wimbledon). Can't recall any en masse rejoicing or micky taking from the home fans on either of those occassions. What happened in May was the most embarrassing thing I've seen in 20 odd years of following the club. We came across terribly as a football club. Horrible, jealous and small time.
