Rooney in the mirror talking about us

my point is and always has been, why would our supporters embarrass themselves by cheering and celebrating a goal going in elswhere that had fuck all to do with SAFC or our prospects on the pitch? It's an alien concept to me and not one I've ever seen happen before with the exception of Newcastle going down, but that I can understand - Hell, I even joined in. Because it was Newcastle. And we'd just stayed up.

Clearly most people understand this, but are incapable of putting together a counter argument - the arrogant, glory seeking line just doesn't wash with me as they've always had excellent and vocal away support, plus anyone who has success like they have had has a right to. Instead they decide to fire off abuse at the poster rather than the post which, in my book is almost as sad as the actions of some of our supporters Mr Rooney, Mr Ferguson and co have lamented.

Agree with this anarl. Sunderland supporters support Sunderland.

Don't give a toss who the opposition was, the reaction of our fans was OTT. If we could get behind SAFC for 90 minutes it might be a better use of their energy.

It was after the final whistle. Remember them singing, 'Bring on the donkey' directed at Quinny. Fuck them if they don't like it. Not our fault their club is going to wrack and ruin

The only thing that fat scouse cunt wants to focus upon is a career that is going up the shitter. World class? Having a laugh with that one. Premier League star? Stretching it like the shirt worn. What ifs for that lad when he looks back. Aye, the money will be there, but the achievement for that undoubted talent? No. It will fizzle out and it is starting to now. The millions are there and the desire is waning. The need, the need that superstars need to be number one just is not there. Fowler, Owen, Rooney

Set against the hype he's turned out pretty ordinary so far. Look how Ronaldo's career has progressed compared to Rooney's, early days at Utd Ronaldo was deemed to be a show pony and the junior partner.

Not many English players train on do they.

The only thing sad that day was the behaviour and lack of class shown by our supporters. Antics more associated with Stoke City or Bolton Wanderers. Make no mistake they won't even need a team talk when we go to Old Trafford this season, and it could get ugly.

What a wanker you are....if it was City and other way round we would have done exactly the same.... You not realise its pantomime ffs!

And i thought the mags were obsessed!:lol::lol:

Well said that man

Spot on.....

Clearly we haven't been in a position to challenge for honous in most people on here's lifetime so the only two comparisons (bitter disappointment in a one off game at an away ground) are the two big relegations (Man city and Wimbledon). Can't recall any en masse rejoicing or micky taking from the home fans on either of those occassions. What happened in May was the most embarrassing thing I've seen in 20 odd years of following the club. We came across terribly as a football club. Horrible, jealous and small time.

What a complete prick you are btw

True about their supporters, but I wonder if S.A.F. feels the same way? After all he is the one sanctions loans and transfers. He is well known for holding grudges for a very long time.

If they don't win the Premier League or Champions League this season, he'll bow out anyway. Or be encouraged to go upstairs.

I am thinking Sunderland are getting strong and stronger in the PL....Know Man Utd is taking notice;)

I thought it was funny, spur of the moment funny. Plenty of our lot had a laugh, so gerin!

If poor manu fans and rooney didn't enjoy it then so what.......any teams fans would have had a laugh at any other teams fans in similar circumstances........that's football.

Some of the lick arse stuff over manu on this thread is embarrassing tbh, especially the well named turnip

Exactly. It was a few people jumping up and down the way Man City fans do. When Man Utd and Leeds play there are songs about Munich and Turkey FFS.

It was them who fucked-up being hammered by City and conceding four against Everton and they can't deal with it. Nice to see 'little Sunderland' are still in their thoughts though.

Question for you then Jarvis me old matey.

Is it just Manchester United we aren't allowed to mock, or does this apply to any opposition?

I've not issue with a bit of banter or taking the piss. Doing the Poznan is a bit sad, but I could live with that. Celebrating Aguero's goal as if we'd scored though. Just don't get it. You could feel the spite and I don't understand why.

Tomorrow in Daily Mirror:

Exclusive!!! Football fans behave like football fans - what is the world coming to?

You stated on here that you wanted them to beat us and lift the trophy that day

Lies. That simply didn't happen.

When Manchester United fans were waving goodbye to us when they relegated us at their place, was that equally as pathetic, sad and spiteful?
