Rooney in the mirror talking about us

Genuine question about a hypothetical situation....... would you be still lambasting the reaction of the Sunderland fans if it had been aimed at city fans in the SOL who lost the league last minute to a Man Utd comeback somewhere else???

Very good question...but I suspect we know the answer.

Go to say I agree. The 'Poznan' by our fans was pretty sad. And I would expect Rooney to react that way - why wouldn't he want to pay us back. It's not a major issue but I don't have any problem with what Rooney is saying.

I thought it was brilliant. And had you been amongst it no doubt you would have joined in.

It did exactly what it was meant to do, take the piss and get a reaction.

isn't ironic that one of the biggest wind up merchants to ever grace this place is actually wound up over this

Spot on fella.
The Sunderland fans embarassed themselves to the wider clued up football world.
Maybe the charvers & the thickos thought it was hilarious though.

 Utter shite. From what I've read all other sets of supporters were lapping it up.

I take it you've forgetten when the Man Utd fans were taking the piss and celebrating our relegation at Old Trafford. What goes around comes around. Fuck em.

Plus, this will only add fuel to the fire when we play them this season. It'll add a little more edge to the game which is only a good thing. No doubt you'll be with your Manc mates licking their arse and telling them how good it must be to support Man Utd and how you wish you'd been born in Salford.

The only thing sad that day was the behaviour and lack of class shown by our supporters. Antics more associated with Stoke City or Bolton Wanderers. Make no mistake they won't even need a team talk when we go to Old Trafford this season, and it could get ugly.

f***ing hell, you get worse. WUM isnt good enough for you

Oh do fuck off, it's called banter, the only sad thing is stupid f***ing comments like this.

I've never hidden my admiration for Manchester United, their history and the way they have represented English football to the rest of the world so magnificantly over the years. They are a great football club and institution which deep down I think most genuine football fans in the is country would acknowledge, with the exception of their close rivals (of whom we are not one for those unaware).

That's not the main point though. While I was disappointed to see the season end the way it did - again I am not ashamed to say I've always preferred MUFC to win the league than any of Chelsea, Leeds, Liverpool, Newcastle and latterly City (just doesn't sit well), although I had no real preference when they battled it out with Arsenal - my point is and always has been, why would our supporters embarrass themselves by cheering and celebrating a goal going in elswhere that had fuck all to do with SAFC or our prospects on the pitch? It's an alien concept to me and not one I've ever seen happen before with the exception of Newcastle going down, but that I can understand - Hell, I even joined in. Because it was Newcastle. And we'd just stayed up.

Clearly most people understand this, but are incapable of putting together a counter argument - the arrogant, glory seeking line just doesn't wash with me as they've always had excellent and vocal away support, plus anyone who has success like they have had has a right to. Instead they decide to fire off abuse at the poster rather than the post which, in my book is almost as sad as the actions of some of our supporters Mr Rooney, Mr Ferguson and co have lamented.

You boring tart.

Not this f***ing 'class' shite again, grovelling to the big club. This post is an insult to Sunderland supporters. They lost out on title no. 20 for fuck's sake, and lost it at the last minute when they thought they'd took it off their rivals, big f***ing deal, it's not like they got relegated like we have so many times.

Fuck the wider clued up football world up its wispy-haired arse.

:lol::lol:

gawd. Never thought of it like that.
You're right though, Shilts never forgave us for the Tina chants and always scored a hat-trick against us.

Why the fuck we would give a shit what those wankers think about us is beyond me. You'd have been hard pushed to find a single supporter in that away end that's known anything other than year after year of giving out abuse as they collect multiple trophies.

I personally found it highly amusing, and fuck anyone who thinks this shows a lack of class.

Or it could put more pressure on Man Utd as they're that little bit more desperate to win.

We'll probably end up going there and beating them. That's the sort of thing that happens.

i'm sure i've read or heard somewhere that shilton reckoned we were the club that kept that going the longest when everyone else had forgotten all about it.:-D

oh and turnip, why don't you sod off and get a season ticket for man utd. if you adore them that much. it's only footie banter ffs:roll:

True about their supporters, but I wonder if S.A.F. feels the same way? After all he is the one sanctions loans and transfers. He is well known for holding grudges for a very long time.

The only thing that fat scouse cunt wants to focus upon is a career that is going up the shitter. World class? Having a laugh with that one. Premier League star? Stretching it like the shirt worn. What ifs for that lad when he looks back. Aye, the money will be there, but the achievement for that undoubted talent? No. It will fizzle out and it is starting to now. The millions are there and the desire is waning. The need, the need that superstars need to be number one just is not there. Fowler, Owen, Rooney
