Rolex Watches

Rolex AD in Lisbon has the 36mm Datejust with silver dial, jubilee bracelet and smooth bezel in stock. I'll be there early September so fingers crossed they still have it when I rock up straight from the airport.

Will there be any issue with insurance or owt? As in, will I be able to insure it in the store with Rolex and i'll be covered worldwide? Or will I have bother with it being bought in Portugal?

I hope your Invicta is serving you well mate.

I’m currently wearing a 200 quid, 43 mill citizen and it’s scratched to bits due to my job. I can see 2 links on the top and 3 on the bottom due to having proper gadgies wrists.

The watch I’m looking at for my retirement present in a couple of years is a VC overseas.

Fair. There’s a canny Citizen pilots watch but as you point out, too big for my baby wrists.

Hamilton khaki field 38mm tonight.
What ? fuck off you horrible prick.

I’m literally in tears right now. Poor me.

I'm a massive bond fan so have an Omega Seamaster from 96, original Rolexes that Connery wore I'd pay whatever I could for but the modern ones are two a penny and anyone earning a reasonably decent wage who doesn't have kids who is a poser will have one. Rather save up and get a Patek Phillipe for my next watch (dress watch rather than seamaster/submariner more everyday working watch). I will say though if you're on a budget Longines do very good mid range and more affordable watches.

This ^ Unless it second hand?

I know they don’t hold value as well, but I love my Omega MoonWatch. I managed to get a cracking deal as well
Prefer the look of them to the seamasters. Resale value is somet I think about but tbh I probs wouldn’t sell it or flip them anyway.

I bought my missus a Rolex in Hanoi the other month. To get it on my UK home insurance I have to have it valued in the UK. I tried the insurance people in Vietnam and they are not set up for this sort of thing, best I could do was insure it the home, meaning if owt happened whilst out we wasn't covered. Maybe in Europe different, ring round some of the specialist insurers, or if you living there, just get it insured in country.
