Think he fancies ye mate.

I on the other hand take great solice in the fact your opinion differs to mine cos it obviously means i'm right. :-D

I can live with that.

Just opinion at the end of the day. Be boring as owt if we all thought the same thing.

Re: [roker report] Captain's Blog: At Bruce's Behest - Drawing My Own Gyan Conclusion

 Most people on here will tell you that I got the idea of offering Bruce blanket support to my head. Yet here I am, raising big questions over his management. Funny that...

Fact is, you can't accept that my opinion on Phil Bardsley differs to yours and you get all precious and upset that I don't rate the lad. Your opinion on him differing from mine does not bother me one jot. To each their own. No idea why my opinion on the matter bothers you so much.

Its against the law not to rate Bardsley ya knar, POTY last season.

Re: [roker report] Captain's Blog: At Bruce's Behest - Drawing My Own Gyan Conclusion

Someone takes their self a bit too seriously me thinks.

However seriously he takes himself, that's still and excellent article and quite thought provoking.

Now it may be that the atmosphere within the club alluded to is the symptom of the poor run of form rather than the cause, but it could explain why there may be a negative attitude about the club rather than a positive one.

It's always struck me that the major difference between Bruce and Keane (other than player purchases) was the ability of Keane's team to get something in the last minutes of a game as opposed to Bruce's team who often lost something in the same period. Can-do versus Can't-do. Positive attitude versus negative attitude.

And that really is the most damning statement yet. Who cares if he has a nasty attitude ? Who cares if he plays people out of position ? If the team is going into matches with a positive attitude then it is more likely they will perform above themselves.

Who ever heard of an athlete psyching themselves down in order to win something ? ;):-D:-D:evil:

I accept and respect your opinion on Bardsley, but yes I do disagree. I do not get upset when have a go at Bardo, in fact I normally have a civilised debate with you about him.

Not at all, and although I defend him, I didn't vote for him for POTY because I don't think he deserved it.

I thought it an excellent article.

However, it makes a fatal error; in breaking a Shibboleth it lays itself open to the SMB lynching possee. :)

Re: [roker report] Captain's Blog: At Bruce's Behest - Drawing My Own Gyan Conclusion

Everyones guessing...nowt wrong with that..
As far as we can see Cana was ousted by Meyler...and he came back in the summer only to jump ship..don't think anyone was that bothered eventually..
Bent may have been offered more money...but for whatever reason..he left..so we'll never know..
Ferdinand and Steed were never going to get anymore cash...so what was to happen ??...maybe Gordon will go the same way..
All this wage saving started under Keane..then Sbragia...13 players were on loan...millions down the drain...some still with the club today...
Maybe were at the balance point only now...with only a few deadwood left..
We must have been paying decent wages to start with....otherwise we wouldnt have bought the Spurs players..
Gyan..well maybe he was disruptive...maybe Modric isnt..whon knows for sure....Gyan signed a contract only months before..his agent must have known the average premiership wage before signing..
It'll work itself out one way or another...Bruce will win games and keep his job..or he'll go the journey..

Bit harsh like, the lads just having his opinion.

Just like writing for ALS in fact, or is that a less serious publication?

I think it's a well written, well constructed piece, it's just the content that's a heap of shite.

But that's just my opinion.

I didn't mean your articles man

I haven't seen any that I can recall, but I can remember your bit in the book (was it 24 SAFC people or summit) it started with a sentence about 'The Piggery' which amused me as I had never heard that particular term of abuse applied to them before.

Anyway, anyone who has a go and puts pen to paper*, or finger to key, and stands up to be shot at get's my respect, whether I agree with what they are saying or not.

*Well, almost anyone. And it's not applicable to 90% of the bellends that post on here either.:)
