That’s the thing, it’s not challenging him or offering advice (for me anyway), it’s being intrigued and interested in the explanation Jack offers and the (probably/hopefully higher level) thought process that goes into certain decisions.

He’s clearly a very conscientious and studious bloke and manager and he’s articulate so I’m sure there’s logic behind most things and I’m sure he’s capable of communicating that.
The two holding midfielders is the one thing I'd like to hear his thoughts on, followed by Honeyman playing No 10 Vs Deeper

Exactly. You get these people on so that you can learn more about their thoughts on aspects of their roles. As you say, it's not saying "you're wrong, we should be two up top with only one holding midfielder at home", its simply mentioning that some have commented on it and were wondering why he favours that approach. I've heard bits from when he was at St Mirren where he's discussed tactics and it was in depth and interesting. I'd be a lot more interested in hearing about that than I would about how he's found living in the area, or what his favourite match has been or whatever. Tactics and style of play are a huge part of the job, nothing wrong at all with wanting to hear why he favours the approach he does, as long as it's asked in the right way

He's out of his depth as are his coaches. Stewy Donald bargain basement.

Jack, are you concerned that only 3 sides have created less than Sunderland this season?

Is the lack of height in the side an issue for you? Set plays both attacking and defending look a big problem for the side for example.

Which player has surprised you the most this season?

Did you have any pre conceived ideas about any players & did your opinion change after working with them?

We've managed to bag an hour or so with Jack Ross and James Fowler tomorrow, and from my perspective it's a chance for us fans to get to know the pair away from the pitch and the press.

Have you got any questions that you'd like us to ask? Reply here and we'll do our best to get everything covered.
Please get a camera up. It's so much better when you can see what's happening, like with SD's first podcasts. I can't do audio only. It's shite.

Funnily, we are filming this one. But ordinarily it's just not worth the time.

Just to give an idea of the process that goes into making a podcast...

- Contacting and arranging a guest
- Booking the venue
- Writing a plan
- Travelling to and from the venue
- Setting up the studio beforehand
- Recording the show
- Finalising and then sending it to our editor
- Editor removes any issues, enhances the audio, adds the intro music, outro music, adverts and cut
- Exports, processes and uploads to multiple channels (which can take a while)
- Creates, uploads and exports the youtube version
- Create an article on our website
- Promote via various social media channels

All in our spare time! I think if we filmed every episode we'd die of exhaustion.

THIS PLEASE

People asking tactical related questions....really sure jack need your advice like
I don’t think he needs our advice at all. Daft comment really.
I am seriously interested in listening to his thinking behind the 2 defensive midfielders especially at home. For instance if he thinks it protects the defence more or if it’s meant to free up the full backs to attack. Or some other reason. If it’s one of these I’d ask him why he leaves it like that when the FBs don’t attack. He knows more about tactics than any of us and would listen to him answer something that frustrates me about his choices.

Exactly, and given his time is probably quite limited, I'm sure he'd rather use it answering genuine football questions, rather than his favourite biscuit and does he go crabbing.

Gooch has played to good effect in a central role behind the striker prior to Ross joining us. Has Jack considered selecting Gooch in this position? If not, why not?

Just seems a strange question, I wouldnt change it at halftime unless it was a desperate situation.

That's your opinion, I and many others would change it at half time instead of persisting for an additional 10 minutes when a change is quite apparently required. Unsure how it's strange at all.

I prefer being proactive than reactive.
