This will be available on all our podcast feeds in audio and, cos its a special occasion, in video on Youtube from 5pm!

Listened too it earlier. Good insightful conversation which I felt taught me a lot about Jack and James' approach to handling players, tactics and dealing with the pressures of managing SAFC.
How long is it please mate?

I've just watched it. Thanks very much for an excellent podcast. I'm an advocate for Ross (not that he needs one!), believing he had the potential to be our greatest manager. His performance on this interview has done nothing to undermine my opinion: if anything, it's reinforced it. The combination of intelligence, eloquence & candour demonstrated by Ross & Fowler is remarkable, particularly when measured against recent incumbents. As I see it, these lads are on a different level & I hope they're in position at our club for a long time.

Sounds like we will be lucky to stay up this season judging by the questions.

How about, Jack you inherited a shit storm following three incompetent managers, a squad full of players who were either shyte demotivated or didn’t want to be here, how have you Managed within 6 months of being here to get us into a position as to where we are one of the favourites for promotion.

I’m perfectly happy with what we have done results wise this season and the turn around in the atmosphere etc in the club but all the above are reasonable questions.

First couple of months we were attacking teams and yeah games were open but we looked like scoring 3/4 goals every game.
Tactics have definitely changed since then and I’d like to hear a reason why. We have become boring to watch and rarely create much now.

Didnt they explain that, teams packing the defence and playing deeper

It was good. The questions seemed very well planned and it flowed very well.

It was good to hear that they are just as frustrated with corners, both defending and attacking as us as fans.

But I don't feel we got a decent answer on our failure to score more than one goal a game.

Yes. I'm hardly an expert, but even I've worked it out simply by watching the matches. Even the very best teams can struggle to break down an opponent adopting such tactics.

That's fair, but I suspect there is no answer that can be given. I also suspect we will score more than one goal a game in several of our remaining matches, but we shall see... I'm very good at being wrong!

Good listen - clearly both very intelligent and articulate blokes.

One thing I would say, judging them from media appearances and this more substanstive conversation, is that they aren't particularly light hearted. I think that Jimmy Walker (he left for Ipswich if memory serves) is probably a miss for players in and around training.

Just watched - very good. Thanks to the Roker Rapport lads.

I have been a little critical of JR this week as I would like us to be a more positive in games which I stand by. However, I think we are in good hands with these lads, they are intelligent, articulate and talk a lot of sense.

We have a big few weeks coming up - Onwards and upwards!

I think JR said he didnt want to give too much away...hopefully we are going to be more positive and play with 2 strikers or at least the midfield supports the striker much more.

Brilliant watch that. Thanks and well done RR.

Slightly gutting that it was relatively so short but only because I could listen to that all day, I understand why there had to b a limit on it from Ross and Fowler’s point of view. I thought RR did well to make use of the limited time available though.

I think Potter is the joker and more light hearted part of their team. Maybe a good blend, the players always seem to be having a laugh in the training videos.

I actually think Ross has quite a dry sense of humour and it’s not always easy to relax and get your personality over in front of the cameras.

I know what you mean about Walker though and I have wondered myself about what impact his departure would have.
