I saw people taking the flags home with them on Saturday. I'm guessing this isn't the groups intentions?
Not really.
Was bound to happen for a few even despite the messages in the lead up to the match.
Hopefully they're brought back this Friday and will be waved again

Yes I think it was a very dark green.

The story of course of the bloke who originally built the main stand, archibald leitch is a beauty. He had an impact on dozens of football grounds in the UK.
I have a copy of his book 'engineering Archie' on the shelf not a bad read

I think you've all done a great job mate and it'll really add to the place. Its just a shame it was hoyed in the car park in the first place. The Clock from The Clock Stand should also have been brought imo.

I do love it but Ive noticed over recent years.... a constant need to look at our past (yes its our clubs proud history Im not doubting that), Roker Park, the old badge, the classic strips. I know Ill probably get shot for this but how far are we going to take it? Get the old Roker end scoreboard (ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK) installed? I’m probably being unfair on what is a fair idea I’d just love to be able to look to the future rather then romanticise about the clubs past.

That’s why we’ve put it out now to be honest. Certainly don’t want to put anyone off bringing flags or hanging it on there in future but it would be nice to keep it clear for the 1st game it’s there.
Aye you set of buggers ya where were you when we were shite and I was hinging me flags up!! do you realise I'm gunna now have to send my lad down to the front of the stand to put them behind the goal making him walk up 15 more steps absolute disgrace bloody Johnny come latelys with ya fancy flags on sticks

:D:D:D

Missed this post. Yes it won sports book of the year or similar when it came out. Very rare now. worth at least £50.

Goodison Park was another of his wasn't it?
Yes it was. there is a full list in thew book with copies of old plans. Portsmouth was another. Loads of them.
