there was a group of us from wingate stood level with the crossbar to the right hand side of the goal in the roker end.
later on i moved to the fulwell end near one of the corners and still sit at the sol with one of the lads, same seats in the east stand since it opened.

Can anyone remember the girl triplets who used to stand towards the back of the Fulwell, always used to wear crombies, I heard that they joined the navy, don't know if true or false but one game they were there next gone never to be seen again. FTM
Yes, I remember them well, very pretty. You're right, they just disappeared, I also heard they'd joined the Navy

I remember the same few blokes in the centre left of the clock stand, about 8-10 steps back always giving it some atmosphere. with regards to a certain unmentionable aspect of football that was prevalent at the time.

Remember loads but there's one fella sticks out. We had a spell in the Fulwell, to the left (Main Stand side) and there was this bloke who always smoked a pipe. I think he used to go on his own and was affectionately nicknamed Sherlock and people would take the piss in a good natured way. He'd be quite quiet but occasionally shout something along the lines of 'Play up Sunderland.' One game, about 5 or 10 fellas turned up with licorice pipes and shouting like him. He saw the funny side to be fair.
