Roker End Stewarding

It probably isn't.

They're bullies. You won't see them manhandling anyone over the age of 20.

Anyone that witnessed this or anyone directly involved must let Steve Neil know 👍
Me n my lad got in the South Stand 8:10. My lad's phone had died n his mam had took it home after dropping us off.🙈 we forgot his season ticket was on the phone. Anyway went to ticket office, got duplicate n got in ground. Walking up the aisle n turned round n my lad wasn't allowed past this steward who had stopped him and wouldn't let him come into the aisle and walk up. No reason whatsoever, my lad is 15 by the way. Steward didn't realise he was with me. I went down n told him to get his f***ing hands off my lad n let him go, f***ing bully........he had eyes like Paul Ince aswel.

The stewards are being told to something that is not enforceable by any law. You do not have to show your phone after you have accessed the ground.
They cannot demand to see it; you can politely show it if requested or not if you don’t want to.

What they need to do is make that area segregated so no in no out and it stops all this shit. They have a barrier they can pull out if they so desire to stop half arsing this shit

Also on grown adult can lay a hand on a 10yr old child. They could possibly ask to point their parent out but that seems to simple
They can ask to see your ticket, on phone or otherwise, if you dont, you can be "asked" to leave. Conditions of entry to the ground, not law.

Loads of parents, me included, going mental with the stewards tonight after young kids were prevented from returning to their seats.

For my 10 year old, he went to the front at half time to go and see his cousin who sits at the end of the same f***ing block and wasn't allowed back.

Physically prevented by a steward until I spotted what was going on.

Other kids not allowed back to their parents after going to the toilet etc.

It's not good enough. These kids aren't even old enough to have an apple or Google wallet to even have their own digital tickets they insist on us using to be able to show anyone.

Keep in mind a large section of the *family stand* is in the Roker End.

The pettifogging rules around the Roker End are already frustrating enough. You now aren't even allowed to walk through the doors in the concourse, they tell you to walk into the stand and back down again. Unlocking your phone to show your ticket when carrying food and drink or wearing gloves a massive pain.

But they are minor gripes compared to treatment of young kids in the *family stand* - mine was actually panicked and crying and still wasn't allowed through until I intervened.

All of these made up pointless rules around the Roker End are supposedly there for health and safety - I'm not sure how health and safety conscious it is to treat kids like this.

Sort it out SAFC.
.. Stuard could have easily watched the kid go in to check .. Seems brainless stuarding ..

there's a few stupid rules in place now that are making the match more difficult, apparently under 14s have to be accompanied by an adult at all times

surely thats not true?

we started going to home games alone in year 7, we must have been about 11 at the time

we were seasoned, hardened match goers by the age of 14. class days out with your mates

I spoke to the ticket office (check me out) the other week, and they picked up straight away that the bairns seat wasn’t next to mine - had to tell them that his seat was next to my brother.

Strange how they’ve let me sign the bairn up with his own account and buy a kids ticket with no linked adult account though.
