Loads of parents, me included, going mental with the stewards tonight after young kids were prevented from returning to their seats.
For my 10 year old, he went to the front at half time to go and see his cousin who sits at the end of the same f***ing block and wasn't allowed back.
Physically prevented by a steward until I spotted what was going on.
Other kids not allowed back to their parents after going to the toilet etc.
It's not good enough. These kids aren't even old enough to have an apple or Google wallet to even have their own digital tickets they insist on us using to be able to show anyone.
Keep in mind a large section of the *family stand* is in the Roker End.
The pettifogging rules around the Roker End are already frustrating enough. You now aren't even allowed to walk through the doors in the concourse, they tell you to walk into the stand and back down again. Unlocking your phone to show your ticket when carrying food and drink or wearing gloves a massive pain.
But they are minor gripes compared to treatment of young kids in the *family stand* - mine was actually panicked and crying and still wasn't allowed through until I intervened.
All of these made up pointless rules around the Roker End are supposedly there for health and safety - I'm not sure how health and safety conscious it is to treat kids like this.
Sort it out SAFC.
