Rodwell

Didn't the defender deflected it over the bar. Anyway how often do you see our midfield players in those positions? You need to be there to get those chances. Don't know why you can't see it! Or maybe you do but can't admit that maybe rodwell is a good player after all.
He got on the pitch when we started pressing them, he got at the end of passes and fucked up. He scored 0 goals with his feet in 18 months, I can see him missing for fun if he gets chances and that's when he's not invisible/useless for 89 minutes. Larsson, Lens, Kharzi all should play there before him

I think he's been alright the last two games, and looks to be finally trying to influence a game rather than coast through it, should have scored yesterday but I am pleased to see him getting in those positions as none of our other central midfielders will do that.

I said on the match thread, he's never looked interested in playing football again to me. The two missed chances summed up his entire time here. Timid, hesitant and not really bothered.
The lad needs to decide what he wants.

I'm nee Rodwell fan but a 12 page thread Rodwell when he did do more than he usually does, albeit miss the chances, yet N'Doye who was our weakest link yesterday hasn't got any thread or have I missed it?

Did I really imagine N'Doye's lame effort in the build up to the goal, the numerous times passes to him that were intercepted as he stood static rather than coming to the ball, his ball watching and general lethargic approach in most of the game? Aye he turned a West Ham player and then played a canny reverse pass but overall he simply wasn't in the game or contributing enough. How Borini or Larsson never got hoyed on from at least Half Time is one question I'd like to ask Sam. Aye he's out of position but still nee excuse for his performance yesterday but surely a sub would have improved our game seeing as N'Doye was having an off game?

danny mills said the same thing on the commentary and i was nodding along with approval. a complete lack of desire to be the footballer he could be. going through the motions.

I couldn't understand the N'Doye praise after the Man United game. Looks a poor footballer, missed a sitter, doesn't win many headers, tracking is poor and seems to put his lip up because he's playing out of position.

Spot-on. The fact he's receiving praise for being in positions to fuck-up and duly doing so says a lot about his time here.

Simply has to start in spot of Catts on Tuesday, which I never thought I'd say. Drove us forward yesterday and we'll need as much of that as we can get on Tuesday, hopefully with some cannier finishing...

Was Dyer's miss for Spurs today a lot different to Rodwell's? Yet nothing said other than a great save by the keeper

Really? I wouldn't even trust him with trolly retrieval duties at Tesco.

IF we stay up, he needs to go out on loan to another club in the top flight or championship. Confidence is an amazing thing and you will find that when he broke through at Everton he had all the confidence of a young lad backed by his manager. At Citeh he played about a dozen games and you could see his confidence diminish over time. At his age and for a lad his size he has all the qualities (not to be a world beater) to be a decent player.

The club has invested enough in him to get some return and if it means he has to spend 6 months on loan at another club to get his confidence back so be it.
