Rocking up at the Airport and Buying Last Min Cheap Empty Seat at the Check In Desk

Typically anywhere long haul is cheaper from Dublin or Amsterdam as it avoids the high UK taxes
I did a search from Schiphol on Google flights and prices were pretty much identical to from here. With the other cost of getting there it would work out a lot pricier.
When I booked flights last year London was a hell of a lot cheaper than Newcastle. £525 from London around £1200 from Newcastle. Even with the train tickets which were £75 each return it was a 100% saving. That's why I went with Saudia their price was unbeatable. This year they are the most expensive.

That won't work, there's no airport in Glencoe. Might get a decent deal from Edinburgh or Glasgow though.
Haha, aye Edinburgh was more reasonably priced to be fair. But it means either driving up and paying for parking or the train. Just feels a bit of a chew on for only couple days away.

I book early then spend the next few months getting a feeling of dread every time I get a promotional email from the airline thinking it’s a communication to ‘amend’ my flight (which is sometimes virtually a cancellation) which very often means I have to change my other travel and hotel/accommodation arrangements both pre and post flight, often requiring additional accommodation at a hotel near an airport, or altering car rental details - sometimes meaning the car hire pick up or drop off is out if office hours…. sometimes meaning you have to cancel the entire booking… then wait a bit before you make a new one because there’s a shortage of cars … and they’ve still not put the car you originally reserved back in the system again… and you hope that by the time you get to rebooking it at the rearranged date and time, somebody else hasn’t reserved it…

So it’s a stressful thing arranging flights sometimes.
