Roberts

Didn't want him to go off but understand why he was pulled, the hardest he'd worked off the ball I remember seeing from him, mayenda was a heedless chicken n left huggins 2 v 1 for their goal, not writing the lad off but showed no composure in his cameo today

Hardly a surprise when he has a full back helping and overlapping and not being pushed into midfield by the manager.

He had the support of Huggins overlapping today and they linked up really well. Amazing how much better a player can be when they aren’t isolated.

Interesting what Dodds said about him after the game

“Pat knows what I think of him as an individual and what we’ve got to try and do is just kind of push him a little bit harder and get a little bit more consistency out of him. And I’m sure he will propel us too, to the levels which the football club wants to get to.”

Anyone who does not see the value of Patrick Roberts can do one. He’s an excellent footballer and we should be happy to have him at the club.
There's these 2 lads that sit in front of me, can't wait to huff and puff and shake their heeds when he gives the ball away.

Because he tries to take people on so much it's not always gonna happen, same with Clarke. But he's class, and when he's on song he's one of the first names on the teamsheet.

O nien tried to be clever and hit it like a sand wedge, outside of boot punt type thing, when he could've just stroked it through.
Interesting it’s the best he’s played , it’s since TM s gone and apparently he was devastated .

Just an observation.

Very good today
We need him on top of his game Tuesday to get at them

Players like Roberts can have off days, bad spells.
Talent never leaves permanently and flair players like this only need a moment of magic to create chances and goals.
Roberts is class
All players have a dip in form - look at Clarke recently
The knackers on here giving Paddy grief are clowns

We could take him on loan mate.

You don't end up at Man City if you're a clogger. The boy has tremendous balance and technique. In some instances I think his talent is taken for granted. Taking the ball from halfway to the opposition penalty box is never as easy as it looks when three or four opponents are involved.
