Roberts

Roberts should be high and wide on the right touchline .... NOT getting the ball in the right back position with the right back ( 6 ft 4 slow centre half in last night's case ) 30 yards ahead of him.

Can you please explain why Roberts is in the team. Week in week out he gets the ball and runs, thus ends with him running into a defender, producing a pass that is so late because he realises he is about to run into a player or he just shoots nowhere near the goal. 17 games and he has zero goals, zero assists.
Just as a point of order, he does an assist this season

Needs dropping like, been well below par for ages now and is offering absolutely nothing. Ba deserves another go, at least he's happy to take to the byline and go down the outside once or twice a game. Roberts cutting inside, running into the defender and losing the ball is becoming his only output.

Its just the principle really. Patrick Roberts is out of form but he has undeniable quality at this level
Yeah, I like Roberts to be fair and i wouldn't suggest for one minute that we should be signing a Marc McNulty or Aiden O'Brien but ultimately i dont think either would have zero goals this season. These strikers are shit. I also accept that they arent getting great service but even Joe Gelhardt scored 3 goals in this many games.

But all the strikers have played a third or quarter of the games. Gelhardt got a clear run. I imagine if we’d played one striker for all the game time they would probably have scored. We chop and change quite a lot and it’ll be hard for the striker and team to get used to each other

People have been banging on for weeks that Ba should start. Every time he's came on he's done next to nothing and looks genuinely confused at what to do. He's been no better than Roberts.
He generally gets brought on because we are in a bit of a mess. Hardlys the ideal scenario. Why not give him a decent run in the side like Roberts has been afforded? He's already contributed more from far less opportunities this season.

People have wanted Edil in for weeks. He did nowt last night either. Straight back out the side then?

2 goals and 1 assist is hardly pulling up trees though is it? Just because Roberts is really struggling for form and set the bar low doesn't mean that Ba is the answer. For a start, I'm not even convinced he's a winger. I would sooner persist with Roberts personally, I think he'll find some form sooner or later.

Am I seriously reading claims Patrick Roberts is shite?
He has bags of ability without question but take a look at his form this season.

It speaks volumes and that is what the main bulk of discussion has been around.

He has been undeniably shite this season.
