Love Bob Deniro, probably my favourite actor of all time. I don't mind his comedies tbh, Meet the parents was great, I even laughed a canny bit at dirty grandpa FFS.

Dunno about that, but Leo's the worst in Departed - no mean feat against Wahlberg & Winstone. Nicholson's daftest effort, and Martin Sheen. The wifey is 'meh' too. He's not even the best actor to play that part.
Yep yep - Casino one of his leading ones after Midnight Run where his comic timing's never better, and then the walk on part in Jackie Brown where he's top dolla. Is it this aisle LewiiiisssYeah seems 95 was his peak with heat and casino both coming out, since he’s had the odd decent film but nothing that really stands out
From 95 to 2020 he made:He'll never destroy his legacy because he's made too many great films.
That said from about 95 to 2015 he did a lot of really poor movies and barely anything great.
The Irishman seems to split people but I thought it was excellent and an excellent performance and that was on the back of Joker which was also excellent so he definitely still has it in him.
He has a few interesting films due as well, working with Scorses again on Killers of the Flower Moon, Wash Me in teh River sounds pretty good. He has about another four that all seem to be of the crime/gangster/drama genres on top of those so here's hoping he wants to go out doing some of his best work.
Pacino also went terrible for the same period as has hit a patch of form again.
Well the Departed is just a remake of Infernal Affairs which is a far better films and Tony Leung does plays a far better part than DiCaprio does.Dunno about that, but Leo's the worst in Departed - no mean feat against Wahlberg & Winstone. + Jacknife.
Yes so I basically picked the era he was shite. 3 of those films were at the very beginning of that run and the other three right at the end. Between them there isn't much that's any good. From 95 to 2020 he made:
Casino
Heat
Ronin
Silver linings playbook (oscar nomination for best supporting actor)
Joker
The Irishman
Those 6 wipe away any shite he’s done, easily.
Down to his last 100Does he have money problems or something?! Why does he take so many awful roles at his age?
oooof ya fuckerDi Caprio has starred in 6 films in the last 10 years.
I've seen Infernal affairs and much prefer the departed.Well the Departed is just a remake of Infernal Affairs which is a far better films and Tony Leung does plays a far better part than DiCaprio does.
Not that The Departed is a bad film, it's just a bit overrated and the original is much better.

He basically took around 15 years off to cash in a bit and then got the bug back for some serious acting a few years ago. The in-between period has a lot of very poor films with he odd alright one in there but it's easily the worst run of his career.
Can't agree. Only really the production that's better. The story on Infernal Affairs is done better, better ending, better action. Found The Departed to be a hammed up to the max version. Even Jack is doing his best Bill The Butcher type cartoon acting in it.I've seen Infernal affairs and much prefer the departed.
He made 15 Minutes and The Score in 2001. Maybe not among his top ranked fillums but both very watchable and a big step up from Rocky and Bullwinkle in 2000!Well the Departed is just a remake of Infernal Affairs which is a far better films and Tony Leung does plays a far better part than DiCaprio does.

He took rocky and bulwinkle in 1990.Does he have money problems or something?! Why does he take so many awful roles at his age?
I suspect the two may be linked.Seems to be as good at investing his money as he is with picking his wives
I’d say the opposite is the case in about 2/3rds of De Niro’s stuff. The good performances are top notch, but he fell into the Pacino trap of playing a caricature of himself for a lot of the films from mid 90s onwards. The definition of a great actor is that even though they are a superstar and instantly recognisable you get lost in their performance. This applies in far more cases for De Niro. In my opinion of course.
He's an odd one. Why would you ban your kids from your new York estate? Or whatever it is he owns there.financial troubles for various reasons including his divorce
Coronavirus has left Robert De Niro with money troubles, lawyer confirms
'The Irishman' star Robert De Niro has taken a financial hit during the coronavirus pandemic, his lawyer has revealed, as a court hearing is publicisedwww.nme.com
Pointless speculating really. Doesn't matter how much you earn, when a divorce turns unpleasant it rarely ends well. He's an odd one. Why would you ban your kids from your new York estate? Or whatever it is he owns there.
Horrific annoying advert. But I think it just shows that he’s not precious about what he probably sees as his job, rather than regarding it as an “art”. He’ll do adverts like that, and others for Warburtons bread, then 6 months later could play a brilliant part in an Oscar winning film.
