Top bloke. Was head f English at my comp as said but I only had him as a a teacher the odd time. Ironically he was covering a lesson of mine back in 98 and it was the day of a night game v Huddersfield which I was going to. 2-3 MAGIC HATTERICK. he let me and @shepherd88 off early to go :cool:

Have spoke with him a few times this season and in contact via email. He has put my kids in the programme a few times over the years.
 
Programme editor (at least he was) and club historian I think. I know his son like.

He still is, and does a fine damned job on it too.

Rob told me years ago that sometimes he has to work 20 (yes twenty) hour days to ensure that he sorts the programme out in time for the print deadline!

Aye, I wasn't sure. Good bloke as well, very knowledgable.
 
I have to turn the bugger off when he comes on before a match on BBC Newcastle. Beyond boring.

Thought he was class in that documentary. Learned a lot, particularly at the start with the early history of the club.
