that's before his pay off and the inevitable loyalty bonus kicks in as wellMr Mason might be on £10m a year so the left back dilemma could theoretically happen![]()
Apologies. I meant £10m basicthat's before his pay off and the inevitable loyalty bonus kicks in as well
As bad analogies go, this must be the worst I've ever read.
Someone phoned in total sport last night about it
it's a shame that the club might see fit to lose someone like Rob Mason but if sales of the programme are falling; and I've seen loads of people on here say they never buy on; then maybe the club feel it will make valuable savings.
And to turn it around, imagine if the manager had said we couldn't afford a new left back in January as we were going for program of the year for the 6th year running

It Is a business though, and Bain has been brought in to do a job. He has no emotional ties to the club, so he's doing things through unsentimental eyes. I would think every cut or redundancy he proposes will have somebody opposed to it for personal reasons, but thats not his problem. He will be judged ( and maybe paid) on his results and savings he makes, across the board. Like it or not, he's preparing for relegation, expect more of this in the coming weeks and months. If there was ever an example of the fookers running the club having no idea of the club and its history then this is it. Its a business to them and a shockingly ran one at that. I cant remember a wider gap between the club and support.
Sad loss to the club - wish him well for the future.Last one at the weekend for Rob...
Hasn't he said he won't write for the program again?Nick Barnes didn't seem too impressed on Facebook about it recently
