RIP Scott Walker

I respected him more than anyone else in music. He could have been the next commercial superstar in the 60s, and arguably was for a time, but he didn't compromise and sang songs about prostitutes, Stalin and Ingmar Bergman films. And then when his record company chained him to a series of bland AOR he finally relented completely for the last four decades of his life.

A true one-off.
