RIP June Whitfield

Any source for this?

Apologies, have been away for a while.

From Dennis Barker's obit in The Guardian from July 1994

Halfway through his career, however, he had threatened to leave Britain. After touring South Africa in 1975 with a farce, A Bedfull Of Foreigners, he spoke about how well things were organised in South Africa, unlike Britain. 'I want to leave England because I'm not going to be messed around by Communists and left-wing socialists. South Africa is a beautiful country . . . It is an organised country, organised by English people.'

He sounded like a bit of a stroker mind!
