I was in a band years ago and Peel made our single his single of the year. You'd never have heard of us, we sold about 3 records in our whole career, but Peel made a point of listening to bands like us, playing bands like us and supporting bands as crap as us.

Withour Peel there'd be no punk on the national airwaves, no ambient, no drum and bass, no reggae...

The world is a darker place.
