Found out just before lunchtime today. Worked for the company for 12 years before accepting an offer from elsewhere this year. I owe him and the company a lot as I was going nowhere before they took me on. Worked quite closely on occasion with him over the years as well, always made time for his staff, a massive shame. RIP John mate.

I think that’s the thing that came out for me, whilst being a successful business man he seemed to do it with the city, people & staff at heart. Not many have come across as caring about others as him.

Lovely man. Did a huge amount for the City, was hugely successful in business and gave many people opportunities they would not have otherwise had.
