Rightmove Voyeurism

I really like that, ticks a lot of the boxes for what I'd like in a luxury house. And not the modern everything open with cold white marble floors you see a lot of. A downside is the big hospital next door, but it looks like the trees obscure most of that.

A mate of mine bought in the Borders recently. I questioned how he got so much for his money. He said buying in and around that area was the equivalent of shopping in Lidl or Aldi compared to Tesco. This house confirms that as, compared to many others on the thread such as the cottage/house in Ampthill just up thread, this is a comparative bargain.

Ben Fogle's gaff
There used to be a twitter account called Ben Fogle on acid, looks like he was on it when he decorated that!! Also and I know this is a surprise to nobody but London proper is f***ing crazy. 26 grand a month to rent that!!

Many on here will recognise this one.
i watched that getting built over the several months it took as i was walking the dag that way, the house that was demolished to build it was 500k iirc then the demolition costs and the build etc

Books arranged by spine colour. Definitely a sign that a deviant lives there and there's probably bodies buried under that shed.

Mine are, sort of. I arrange them by imprint, mainly Penguin/Vintage paperbacks: so shelves of orange, red, silver, and white. But everything in alphabetical order and easy to find.

But in that house, colour definitely trumps all else. What's worse, there's nowhere to sit and read. What a cold, uninviting room. For me, books are at the heart of the house. They're there to be accessed, not to function as glorified wallpaper.

I wondered what the park was at the back. It's Wormwood Scrubs. The prison is just a couple of blocks away.
