I’ve stopped looking at rightmove as my house move is now hanging in the balance of the mortgage underwriters. It’s a depressing place for me at the minute.
 
Awwwh The Tamworth Two are dead. Nice wiki page on em. I hope The Daily Mail doesn’t think rescuing em cancels out backing Hitler.

As a rule, I'm not that keen on open plan living. However, most of the houses you post have it along with a lot of outdoor living space and it seems to work a lot better.
I wonder whether it's a climate thing, and we feel we need to be cosy (and probably worry about heating bills with no 'bloody doors' to shut :lol: )

all new builds here are generally open plan and yep mostly to do with the climate. i still like having some seperate areas though so you're not all stuffed in one big space with lots of competing noises for example. most new houses are also massive (too big really) so they do have indoor/outdoor spaces as well as studies or media rooms so family members can find their own space. we're in an older house but we're going to renovate it so it does become more open plan, which as well as being better for us will be more what buyers are looking for when we sell.

when i go back home i spend half the time opening doors and windows (in summer) and my family think i'm f***ing crazy and shut them again :)
