Rightmove Voyeurism

Style over substance??

Seems to make decent use of the space in what looks like a very small property. So has both. Obviously appealing as it's sold at that price. £430k for a 2 bed terrace. Is it aa particularly trendy area or are prices in Manchester really high?

I quite like the house and period bits, but aye, decor is a bit dated (mainly the furniture tbh). If the house is structurally sound it wouldn't cost a massive amount to update. Just a shame it's in Houghton.

I think I might have been to dinner there - belonged to a very senior Doctor who has retired and moved to London?

It's an expensive area, and there's huge demand. Different terraces (2 up, 2 down) and bigger bay fronted ones with a hallway are not staying up for longer than a week. That property is expensive, but that will be design led, but 2/3 bed terraces (both types) are all £350k+ within 1/2 mile of that house.
2 bed?! Jeffing hell

Yep. Madness.

People tend to stay in the area, so people aren't benefiting from the price rises.

Sold for £220k in February 2020.

Enough work done to justify an increase in value of £115,000 or 52.2% in 6 months? You tell me.

Not sure if I like this or not. Bit dated but could potentially be very nice.
I could happily live here.
The Cleadon one is I think where my childhood dentist lived. Or it might be someone else I know, begins with B

It looks fairly nice but it’s not a patch on the house one of my relations is selling in Easington for a similar amount of money. I’d want more than a backyard for that sort of money, plus parking and a garage. Definitely overpriced in my opinion.

It’s smaller than a similar one in Peterlee which is half a million pounds less even allowing for house prices rises over the past five years!
