Seems a narrow build but done very nicely internally. It‘s also overlooked by the house behind the one you can see on the left of it.
Some careful editing been done there I think.
Tbf her dad has a very decent job from memory so maybe not funded by the daughter.Fair play to the lass if she can provide for her family in such a way mind
Surely she hasn’t made the kind of wedge to but a million pound house for the parents. If so I am shocked. A millionaire from being famous for nowt.Seems a narrow build but done very nicely internally.
Strange mix of old terraced housing one side then some huge mansions on the other .

Don’t know think it was built by them so probably cost half that.Surely she hasn’t made the kind of wedge to but a million pound house for the parents. If so I am shocked. A millionaire from being famous for nowt.

I like that. A lot of modern builds made to look old are horrible cold white/grey places inside, but that is nice and actually looks like a home.Rather nice...Warkworth

If the developers could have knocked down the terraces to the side they would have done. Lots and lots of offers over the years to buy the 'non mansion' to the side so it could be developed. Eventually was sold and it's bloody awful now.Seems a narrow build but done very nicely internally.

What’s bloody awful ?If the developers could have knocked down the terraces to the side they would have done. Lots and lots of offers over the years to buy the 'non mansion' to the side so it could be developed. Eventually was sold and it's bloody awful now.
Doesn’t make any sense. If the developers could have knocked down the terraces to the side they would have done. Lots and lots of offers over the years to buy the 'non mansion' to the side so it could be developed. Eventually was sold and it's bloody awful now.
In 1973 till late 74 we lived in a house in Station Road opposite this one. We rented as we were moving up North from Somerset. We then moved to Alnmouth but that’s another story. Anyhow the point is that me and Mrs Alpha went to Warkworth this summer as we were visiting friends, mainly to look at the house on Station Road. She’s a southerner through and through but Warkworth was described as a place she could live. I’d be happy in this house for sure.I like that. Thats class, and I would leave it as it is, would feel like on those halls you visit on a weekend awayYou must be logged on to see external links
Was tired when typing! House to right of mansion was detached and owners approached multiple times to sell up by people in the mansion. My in laws lived in the terraces and they and neighbours were also approached to sell up as someone wanted to create another mansion by taking down end 2 terraced houses. Would never have got permission thoughDoesn’t make any sense.
How could they knock down the terraces to the side? The house in question is the access road to the back of the terraces and presumably the ‘non mansion’ away from the start of the terraced houses.

I am going off what my father in law told us numerous times, i couldn't tell you who the interested party was.I know the folk who developed the three houses on the site next door and although they definitely tried to buy the site which the house was built on next door , a relative of theirs bought and lived in the house to east of that house.
At no time have I ever heard them trying to buy the two terraced house you’ve mentioned, if that was the case they’d have ended up buying four additional properties and that wouldn’t have made financial sense never mind the planning permission issues.
Just needs redecorating.
I get the impression it is set up as a small hotel and wedding venue. The female dress stand thing, fire exit signs etc, it all looks to be set up for something commercial.Thats class, and I would leave it as it is, would feel like on those halls you visit on a weekend away
Probably was to be fairI get the impression it is set up as a small hotel and wedding venue. The female dress stand thing, fire exit signs etc, it all looks to be set up for something commercial.
