Rightmove Voyeurism

In 1970 I had just left school & had a Saturday job at Currys. Occasionally we went round in the van knocking on doors of people who were behind on the HP payments. I remember going to this gaff one day - I couldn't believe they lived in a place like that and didn't keep up the payments on a washing machine they got on the never-never.

Nice story mate but think you've tagged the wrong house. ;)

This is my favorite SMB thread. My first post on it so I hope I don't mess it up.

I came across this (ooor misses) I love the built in leisure facility in pictures 15 and 16. Even bar stools to watch the action. If I was a set designer and I wanted to recreate an 1970s brothel, this is what it would look like.

There’s some things I like about that but, for some reason, I’m put off as the house looks really pompous from the outside - absolutely full of itself.

I’ve never wanted to punch a house in the face before. But I really do with that one.
😄
Typical London Zone 5 bourgeois shite that house

Not far from my current gaff this.
In the spirit of wanting to punch things in the face (see @Big Sharp Teeth's post above) I'd like to say to the owners of this home 'get your f***ing teddy bears off the hall chair'.

Looks dated and a bit 80s inside, with sliding mirror fitted wardrobes (my dad loved a good sliding door and contiboard combination), but that could be made lovely.

Nice house.
Seriously nice round that way though the roads at either end of Burlington rd are very busy. The one at the south end is/was a rat run to Kew bridge cutting out Chiswick roundabout but I’ve not driven down it for about 20yrs so it may be different. Chiswick High Rd/Turnham Green is great for bars n restaurants.

Bit optimistic with the Energy Rating C perhaps?

Maybe Dennis the Menace grew up to be a kitchen designer?
