I'm obsessed with that house. It's absolutely perfect.I was only 5 numbers off being able to afford it.
It is very special.I'm obsessed with that house. It's absolutely perfect.
Very nice, mix of modern and old fashioned with a fair bit land/garden.
That gets me. Like "bake" in the kitchen and "bathe" in the bathroom. Maybe they once tried to bake a cake in the bath or something![]()
Love this thread! On a related note, how much do people think some of these houses cost to run (council tax etc)? For example a £1.5m house in Darras Hall etc.
I can tell I'm getting older. My initial thought looking at that lovely one was "That'll cost a fortune to heat"

Friend bought a place a couple of years back with a big garden that had been well maintained. The last few years before he bought it the owner had let it get overgrown so he wanted it to be re-done once he moved In.Once you get to a certain size house you need to think about cleaners/gardeners surely.
Mates just bought a house in cleadon with a wassa garden. Nee way you could look after it yersel.
The previous of owner of my new digs said she liked the wild look. Cleared 2 skips out of the garden. Spent about similar in clearance and the canopy of the massive tree they left.Friend bought a place a couple of years back with a big garden that had been well maintained. The transactions costs on high value houses are off the charts+£6k per container to transport furniture etc.
Even so, it’s a steal. My house is about to go on the market, we expect to get about $480k for it.The transactions costs on high value houses are off the charts
So let's say this house, how much council tax, bills etc everyone reckon that would come to a month?
