It appears that Kirsty Allsopp did much the same apart from needing a tractor. I suspect the size of garden may have been a factor unless her mother was a big unit.

Yes, been on here before. £2.3m for a house that seems to make odd use of the space inside, has a fairly small garden and lots of balconies where you can sit out and remember you bought a mansion on a bishop aukland industrial estate. Car dealer and premier inn opposite, scrap yard to one side, the tip out the back and a busy road. Search for Tindale Towers on google maps and check out the local delights for your millionaires dream paradise.
Alternatively you could by one of these two not far away and retire on the spare £1.4m. Or buy both if you could not decide
