Right, where are all the surrender monkys?

The season panned out exactly as most people thought it would.

I don't believe it's those people the threads about tbh.

It's those who ridicule anyone who said we'd stay up.

It seems to be a 'reap what you sow' scenario ;)

I didn't post on here during this season. But I go to every game with my dad and by god we both thought we were dead and buried in about february.

Honestly, it's been more than five years since I last went an entire year without thinking we were defo down. I should have more faith.

I'm sure every single person who thought we looked destined for relegation at certain points in the season and expressed that 'opinion' on here ........ a message-board after all ........ are absolutely delighted we have stayed up ?

Don't you ?
Top tip ladies - never admit defeat etc. Only under your breath or to a select few:lol:

Surely the issue isn't anyone who said 'we are definitely down', but anyone who said anything definite. It was stupid to say we were definitely going down, and it was stupid to say we were definitely staying up. Throughout the season the probability has varied from us being more likely than not to go down at points and more likely than not to stay up at points.

It feels at points like the debate between the 'realists' and the 'optimists' is like one person calling heads on a coin flip, one calling tails, both being adamant their prediction would come true and then one lauding it over the other when heads comes up. More fool anyone who was certain about outcomes earlier in the season.

I don't have a problem with either side ....... it's people who come on being insulting and taking the piss out of those who believed we could stay up.

I'm quite sure these people wouldn't say those things to a stranger in a pre-match pub.

But they're more than happy to take every chance to do so on here.

They deserve any flak they get in return in my opinion.

We're confusing thinking something is going to happen with wanting it to happen. Again. Another thing that needs to be learned if this place isn't going to go down the shitter.

Are you speaking for a certain group or everyone excluding yourself?

It went down the shitter years ago. You've been around long enough to know and remember the good days;)

It would be less 'down the shitter' if people would learn that this is also a forum for biased optimistic Sunderland supporters who don't always want constant whinging and sniping at the club over the Fanzone, the hotel, the colour of the seats and a million other things ..... some people are obviously just generally bored with football, barely interested in SAFC or just here to attempt to wum.

They should do what I did and fall in love with the club. Looking forward to trying every away again next season as it's addictive and although at times a bit sticky, you'll testify how rewarding it is when the great escapes keep coming:lol:

I think we might stay up next year. Best get in early:cool:

Some absolute fannies the way they went on. Was close but people were saying we were down weeks before.
