Assuming Welbeck is fit, him and Gyan upfront for me. Bent on the bench. This is in no way dropping Bent or having a dig at him, but we've got two forwards who are flying and will be desperate to play and score. If we're 2-0 up at half time, forget that Bent was ever there and make sure his injury is ok for Wolves. If we need him, we can bring Bent on at the right time, hopefully not aggrevating his injury.

Remind me how many times Welbeck has started up front, as opposed to wing/midfield?

I'm not slating Welbeck daft lad, i'm saying Bent is our key player. Best player we've had in a decade, Gyan could exceed that mind.

Remind me how many goals Bent has scored for Sunderland. Remind me how much he loves the club. Remind your self how important Darren bent IS to SAFC.

If 100% he must start.

 Bent hasn't scored in 3, it just so happens he wasn't involved in those 3 games due to injury. He's our leading scorer, our talisman, & best player.

Welbeck has had 1 good game for us and is on loan.

Again, if he's 100% he has to start. I dont really care who is dropped to accomodate him.

He's not our best player, probably most important, but not best. What I'm saying is, there's two players playing pretty well without risking him aggrevating an injury.

& I never said Bent hadn't scored in three, he scored in his last game.

People on here will be going apeshit if he plays and pulls up with the same injury.

If he says he's fit, have him available in case he's needed. Hopefully he'll not be.

yeah sorry, the 'scored in 3' is for the other idiot who says bent is 'misfiring latley.'

Anyway, as i've said twice in the post you quoted - if he's not 100% then fair enough. If there is a risk he could do him self damage then he isn't 100%.

I'm not one to get carried away based on one fantastic performance - we'd be stupid to do so (but that hasn't stopped a few people getting carried away mind).

Who is our best player, out of interest?

Won't Jordan be knackered after last week's heroics and 90 mins last night?

If Bent is fit I'd just drop Danny into midfield and play all 3, with Jordan on the bench... :)

I think we all agree that Bent/Gyan is our preferred strike partnership. These boys need games together to build this partnership and so if Bent is fit then he has to start imo.

Unlucky on Welbeck but if we're 2 up say with 20 mins to go then Benty can have a rest and Welbeck can run an already tired defence ragged.
