Would prefer Brown at right-back and Cuellar in the middle if it came to playing him.

That would disrupt two positions, surely more sensible to disrupt one and keep the player is more of a liability further out wide than at the heart of our defence

What are you even discussing ?
If we haven't managed to bring in replacements then gardner starts at EB end of .

Mods should do a sticky at the top of the board.

For all you retards who don't know it already, GARDNER IS f***ing SUSPENDED FOR THE FIRST GAME.

RB is the one position I'm worried about. Colback was always a full back to my mind. I expect that if we get to a week to go and no incoming RB is on the horizon, PDC will be drilling whoever he wants in there. Unlike previous regimes where someone's thrown in with apparently no preparation out of spite, and then huff and puff about not having the players.

Plenty of time to sign one man, chill out

Who is going to play there against Fulham with Gardner suspended?

Cuellar, Bardsley or a new signing?

have to say is the only position I am concerned about and think the manager should be too. Unless he buries the hatchet with Bardo and brings him back into the team.

Colback right back, Roberge left back

this post was replicated years ago , there is time yes but the same could be said over the last few seasons , the squad as it stands will struggle next season

Agree - but this is the first point in that time that i am confident we have people in place who -

a) recognise this as a problem 100%
b) know that it needs sorting
c) know what to do to sort it

Paolo says relax

Thing is though a), b) and c) are pretty obvious.......it's whether the will is there to bring the players in. The sudden praising of players most of us thought were surplus to requirements suggests that they may feature more than we think.

heres hoping mate , be a lot happier with 2 proper full backs in and the axis in the middle

I think we'll find out who will be at RB for the Fulham game on Wednesday. Its the last chance PDC has of giving his back four for that game a competitive match together.

I don't think he will change it round just for one game.

Unless things change it looks like Gardner and Colback will be our only FBs so the more game time they get with the different combinations of keepers/CBs the better.

thing is Gardner is suspended for the fulham game , surely we are expecting signing 2 fullbacks before the window closes

We have three games before the window closes.

Fulham at home we should be on the attack.

Southampton and Palace are away and very winnable games even if he gets them in before the deadline to play those games can he risk putting in two new, possibly rusty, FBs.
