To be fair it's not really relevant.......we utilised Colback at RB against just about the best left sided PL combination in Baines and Pienaar and he was MOTM. Whoever plays there could just as easily get ripped a new arsehole by some spotty faced kid lining up for Palace. What's of more concern is who plays there on a long term basis.... along with LB and creative CM it's something the club seems totally incapable of solving.
That's true if you believe the club are willing to invest in these areas......i'm really not sure and think we will need departures before anyone else comes in. Hopefully i'm just being a cynical old git....![]()
I'm not worried at the prospect of Colback and Gardner as full backs until we sign the right players. Last season they both played in these positions for a number of matches and I don't really remember them looking out of place. In fact defence wasn't really our problem last season. Scoring enough goals was our problem. A new coach, a new philosophy and a season further on and I expect them both to be better suited to the roles this season.
A bigger crime would be to just sign a foreign name and throw him straight into the Premier League before they understand the Di Canio philosophy.
I don't think either player is good enough to get into Man U or Man C but they are well capable of playing for a mid-table side without letting anyone down.
Colback right, Roberge left? Nah too much upheaval perhaps.
One things certain, Brown will be centre back.
Gino Peruzzi

Cavanda.
Cavanda.
Gardner suspended for Fulham. Larsson will slot in.thats where he should be, but id rather have brown at rb than gardner.
Played there v Spurs IIRC
