Ron Gilbert has closed comments on it and won’t be talking about it again until release due to getting personal abuse following on from the art direction which is a bit mental.

Same reason I couldn’t abide The Avengers, art style was dogmuck.

Yeah the art style looks shit but I'll still play it. They have changed the art style several times now, none as good as the originals and whilst the art got worse I still enjoyed each game.

Click and point games were brutal back in the day before you could google when you got stuck. Had to wait a few months for a magazine to publish a walkthrough.

The art style of 3, the remasters and the last one on PC in episodes a few years back were all great I'm not overly keen on the new look. However, they've got the right voices and the story line is always class and funny so I'm on board no matter what!

Which does make sense, I'd love for a new generation to enjoy the franchise as much as I have so if this is the way they can manage it then I'm cool with it.

Even if it's cack I'll always have my Monkey Island tm drinks coasters and Murray keyring.

The worst offender in point and clicks has to be the goat puzzle in Broken Sword. It’s actually used in game design courses as a ‘what not to do’ example. It expects you to try a mechanic that has at no point been introduced to or hinted at and is then never utilised again. I was stuck on that literally for years until I accidentally read about it somewhere

Loving it so far. Writing is superb.

Thought it was good crack to have a weird ending after rewriting the weird ending from MI2. Gilbert says that he expects more to come from MI as well which is good news.

The ending pissed me off instantly but then I thought about it and loved it haha
