The problem is really when messages seem in direct conflict with each other that they don't make sense.

Someone comes to you house, you can only eat food at the table together if your table can keep you 2m apart. But you can go to a restaurant with that same person and only be 1m apart. (at best as a lot of tables aren't 1m wide)
