Return of Both Strikers

We've that many midfielders, they can't all fit into the matchday squad. It's highly unlikely that we'll be going out and getting more in January unless some leave.

Like others have said, we'll finish above the relegation zone and that will be the target achieved. We may get a young striker in, but I don't see us doing any business other than getting one or two of our lads out on loan.
Only midfielder who I could see going is matete
I ve been convinced that we’d make the play offs. But unless this changes then I think you’re right. We are seeing the high press less and less and we look nowhere near as good. I know stewart leads it but it’s still doable without him. I think we are slowly being Mowbrayed
I don't think mowbray is doing bad I just don't think he's going to take us to the next level

Yeah, or they may choose to send Ba out as he seems to be on the fringes each week too.
I was really surprised jewi got left out I think mowbray is reluctant at times to play these lads and when the injured players are back people like him will play less

Hes got his favorites and seems reluctant to rotate them. I think its cos we were on a decent run when he came in that he just kept it and now doesn't really seem to have any other option....He's very cautious.

I know he’s being hampered by the lack of strikers and signings that although good players just aren’t ready yet. I m just starting get a niggling doubt that he’s going to start making us crap to watch.

I think the players are ready, all of them have shown ability when they've come on, it's just Mowbrays reluctance to drop the more experienced lads until we're chasing a game.

He needs to be bolder in his starting 11 in my opinion. Simms coming back may have just stopped the slide in time.

He's just a steady hand imo to establish us the next couple seasons. After AN left they definitely went on the side of caution. He was the safest option to make sure we didn't we didn't fall to pieces. I can understand their decision tbf, but he's always going to be a mid table championship manager.

Neil was good but I just can't see us making imaginative if that's the word appointments like a foreign coach or a young up and coming manager like QPR have

Hopefully it all works out for us and we at least are top ten once the dust has settled.
Need a couple more in January:
People need to realise it is highly unlikely we go the rest of the season with nobody else getting injured

Not sure we were in that position to do that tbh. Took us 4 seasons to get out of League 1 and the financial cost and implications of going back down would mean they'd be terrified of taking a chance on someone. Mowbray was the safe option. If/when we find ourselves relatively comfortable in the championship and a change comes in a couple seasons to kick on, then they'd maybe look a bit more at something like that.

And with Stewart still not signing a contract, it’s all the more important.

Why, what did he say?
"They want him to sign a new contract, his (or his agent’s) wage idea is miles from ours. Contract will only get shorter. He’s got an opinion, but no real influence on the decision as to whether the club pay up or decide to stick to a structure."

According to someone who was there anyway.

Cheers, doesn’t look good - if he hasn’t signed by the window then, we’ve got to assume he’ll be sold.

He’s likely to do the opposite of anything, have us scoring loads but not defending as well.

I can’t believe how many still think his football matches his demeanor, it doesn’t at all.

We’ve only fallen about 10 places without a striker. All the dripping fannys need to get a grip and trust the process.
